The only question is whether or not we can get 100 points.

We are up, simple as. Those jokers yesterday being up in the play-offs is laughable.

In all seriousness IF we can play like we did yesterday for the rest of the season then it is hard to see who will beat us. However that is a big if because we will have a wobble or 2 along the way and there are a couple of decent teams who we haven't faced yet.
Encouragingly I think we will only get stronger as Clarke comes back and Billy is bound to start firing again soon.

We have been suffering a long time though

All the more reason to be totally grounded.

If we were mathmatically promoted on the last day of the season with 5 minutes left and winning 5-0 I`d expect us to draw.
Or the rules would be changed.
The only time I`ll believe we go up is when I see the fixture list for the next season with our name playing teams in the league above.
And even then............

I remember Harry Maguire saying we'd go a season unbeaten. We were great yesterday, but please! The last game we were within a minute of losing to Fleetwood and the Peterborough and Bristol Rovers games could have gone either way. We need a reality check, it will be a long hard season and there will be downs as well as ups.

I'm about as optimistic as I ever get about our chances but even six wins and two draws haven't made me forget entirely about our performance vs. Southend.

The Posh game showed me that we can handle a team that throws everything at us. Yesterday's game showed me that we're capable of tearing teams apart if they show anything less.

The rest will be decided on consistency alone.

What encourages me is the change in attitude. If we play badly, we will still dig in. If we fall behind, we're capable of turning it around.

4-0s are nice, but as you suggest, they're the icing on the cake.

Yeah, and I know the biggest test is always the next game, but Shrewsbury will say a lot about whether we can make these wins a matter of routine. I won't go overboard whatever happens but teams that go up automatically win the majority of these fixtures.

With Basham to come back, and the hope that Lavery, Chapman, and Clarke can make an impact, we potentially have the extra options in width, strength, and pace. If those players can make their marks on the side then imo we wouldn't have an obvious weakness in our squad. And for all the stick I give our board, I do believe that if we get to Christmas in the right position and Wilder makes it clear he needs a key signing that they'll respond as they did with Moore. We have resources to improve our side that others around us might struggle with.

In the last few games we've shown what we can do and shown we're capable of it against everything this league has to offer. All that's left is the hard part: doing it another 30 times.

Football fans are hilarious.

We were certs for relegation a few weeks ago to some, and now certs for promotion, genius...........

When due to bad form, injuries and bad luck we slip outside the play off places, I look forward to laughing at the "He's tactically naive and Wilder has taken us so far but he isn't the man to take us any further" comments.

One point more than 3rd place will do for me.

Agreed. But then that has been the extent of our turnaround in form. And it's been genuine steady progression. Every week has brought a bit more cohesion and belief.

Will it carry on? Who knows....

I think we could easily get 100 points Thing is Bolton could get 101 and Scunny 100 and a half. Then - guess what?

UT. We will go up this season. Won't we?

For fuck's sake, perhaps I'm in a minority, but given the way we've languished in this division, season after season, without ever looking like worthy promotion contenders, right now I'd be happy if we secured promotion. How and in what position, well I'll leave that to those who consider one outstanding performance to be enough to confirm we're run-away champions. Next season will only matter if we're promoted, very few will bleat on about which position we finished this season. I am as thrilled and as proud of yesterday's performance as anyone, but please, get a grip before you shoot your footballing load!

Since CW made the tough decisions that it wasn't working early on and moved us from a pathetic 4-4-2 to a 3-5-2, we have dominated a lot of games.

CW has played with 4-4-2 a bit since (Oxford 2nd half, where it didn't work) and Fleetwood away (final 30 minutes where we were chasing the game), but it seems (and I really hope so) that 3-5-2 is generally here to stay.

It simply works for what we have - it also worked for Bristol when they got out.

It really is quite simple - the way we are playing NOW - and we will only get stronger as we get fitter and more used to each other, then it really is in our hands - everyone else is playing for 2nd. We are doing exactly what Wigan did last year - getting stronger as each games goes on and growing (very quickly) into the season.

FFS, have confidence in where we are and where we can now go - that past is the past.

Shrewsbury next - one game at a time.

100pts??? Have you met Sheffield United, when did we ever do things easily.

If we ever go up it will be in the play off final. Probably go be shocking 1st half be a few goals Down. equalise in the 2nd & when our nerves are well truly shot, fans been thru the wringer we'll probally get a scrappy goal in the 115th min

In our last home game we looked short of pace and strength. On Saturday the passing was quick and accurate but there will be days when that doesn't come off and when that happens, the OP will look ridiculous. Early on yesterday e didn't get bodies in the box enough as already pointed out in other threads. Wilder can see that we aren't quite what he wants yet, but I'd rather be reading uber positive nonsense than the usual negative stuff TBF

We are an injury to Ebanks-Landell from struggling for the rest of the season, think about that for a moment then think about 100 pts again.
