Some of you may recall me calling Beattie a lazy b*****d and Kenny...pretty much the same, but Saurday both players made me eat my words when Kenny pulled off some fantastic saves and Beattie not only won us the match, he chased the ball and got stuck in quite abit. Let's at least try and keep up the good work to stay up.

Looks like Tom ate the whole fooking dictionary in twelve different languages!

:D:D:D

I think a lot of this can be put down to Blackwell, BT has been poor for a while imo, seems like a few arses have been kicked. Tonge has looked a different player since Blackwell took charge.

Looks like Tonge is one that is really responding to Blackwell. I think Tonge needs support and confidence from the manager.

Let's hope his form continues!

I've kept well away from the whole "Beattie's a lazy get" thing, but what I will say is that I can think of a few players who come above Beattie in the underperforming stakes.

By a distance.

And quite a few would agree with you there.

He also knows Tonge of old, which must count for something. I'm not going to suggest that the 'old days' are coming back, but I'm a damn sight happier about United than I was a few weeks ago.

Beattie may well have underperformed, but he has been one of our hardest working players this season, often being our best defender. It must be incredibly frustrating to be a star striker and have absolutly no service whatsoever. I thin my poiint is theat he hasnt been alone in underperforming.

I can't help but thinkng the "hard work beats talent if talent doesn't work hard" comment applies to Tonge as much as anyone and his upturn in form has coincided with him doing a lot more graft.
