Incoming? Ched Evans

I don't think it would split the fan-base and, could it be beyond the realms of possibility...........???

He's Chesterfield's player at the moment BUT, he only signed a 1-year deal, he has a trial in October which could rule him out for a number of games and he may have lost any capability of playing football after so long out....so a 1 year deal was probably inevitable.......The trial may or may not happen but he's not going back to prison and he certainly hasn't lost the ability to play football...!!!

If he gets through the re-trial unscathed, (which he will) and continues scoring goals, (which he might) then I would not be surprised one little bit if he moved in the JTW......Chesterfield will obviously be trying to tie him to a longer contract but he could go in the summer for nowt so if he's banged in 10 to 15 goals by that time I would fully expect League 1 and Championship clubs to be looking at him with a view to a cut-price deal.

We will always be linked with Chedwyn and if the stories are true that CW wanted him but the move was vetoed then it's another fuck up by the Board. It's folly to think we may have already struck a "deal" to bring him home in January and the OP's comments are probably no more than a few people putting a few things together and coming up with a conspiracy.......but......I personally think Ched will leave Chesterfield in Jan but I sadly don't think he will be coming to BDTBL to spearhead our final push for promotion.

Not quite pal, Danny Wilson is moving, but not to us, he is going in as interim manager at SWFC, Carlos has to go back to Portugal to renew his passport, but once there he is actually getting a direct flight to Northern Cyprus to collect a suitcase full of cash for Mr. Chansiri, which will be laundered back in the UK, Lucas Joao is going with him, as "bag man" to physically carry the suitcase, when they get back to East Midlands airport, Jeff Stelling and a fake film crew will be there, pretending to film something and cause a distraction, so that Carlos and Lucas can slip out unnoticed to a waiting car, Ched Evans is the driver of that car! The man who will be in court is not the real Ched Evans but a lookalike, that's what I was told by an ITK last night.
 
The Trial will almost certainly happen. It costs money to list a case for Trial and the closer it gets, the greater the cost. If the CPS let this run to the doors of Trial then drop it, they will have very publicly wasted a lot of the public's money which won't go down well.

Yes it was agreed at a recent lodge meeting with chairman of each club being on the square .

Mr Evans has not been black balled , after being given a reference by his father in law and desperately wants to be a mason , as he has integrity .

Mr Evans now a tiler and will work his way up . The world is at his feet . Very intelligent bloke . Loves Blades . Said he would play for nothing due to the shame and damage done . We are out of order thinking he is a wanker , tosser

If only we had a solicitor on here who could clarify the process and probable outcome it would save a lot of forum pages

I believe Darren is a solicitor? He also went to the appeal hearing so knows more than most of us but given the reporting restrictions and the unpredictable nature of such a case I don't think he could shed too much light on the outcome.

But the cost of an actual trial is even more, certainly more than a listing.
At present it's Ched's solicitors who are doing all the work, the CPS have already done theirs during the first trial and the courts have only had a limited involvement.
 
If...and its a big if...he gets found not guilty or the re-trial does not happen the i for one hope he gets another chance with Utd provided he still looks like he can do the business. If the above happens then he is legally not a guilty man (though guilty of being a thick twat on that fateful evening). To me, if hes legally found guilty or there remains a chance he will be found that way then leave well alone. If hes not then get him back to hopefully give us fresh impetus and because of unfinished business. Also it would be a two finger salute to some of the lynch mob i.e. Jolly Jean.

Both parties’ representatives will be working on the case as it approaches trial. Preparing bundles, briefing Counsel, summoning witnesses holding pre-trial conferences to test the strength of their witnesses’ evidence under cross examination etc.



Very dear do all in all and increases the closer we get to Trial. If the CPS thought they had no chance, it wouldn’t have got this far. He may well be found not guilty but I’d be very surprised if it didn’t get to Trial.

Ah fair enough, I didn’t know he wasn’t.


My point was that even with his knowledge, reporting restrictions coupled with the uncertainty of a criminal trial means that he probably couldn’t tell us a great deal about the likelihood of either outcome anyway.

I don't know f**k all about the OP, nor do I purport to be "ITK" in any way, but what I do know is that every year there are eye watering amounts of public money wasted on a variety of things ( which we won't go into on here) so that in itself wouldn't be unusual. ;)

Time will tell, if we do add to the squad in January ....... perhaps, for instance, our dim-witted Board will suddenly have the epiphany in January and realise "oh god, our midfield is one of the worst in the division", and will wade in to help Tufty out.

The problem is that in January, as usual, it will be too little too late :rolleyes:

Yep, completely agree - Not sure what he is up to but it seems like the Dazzler has taken his gimp mask and strap-ons to another dimension.
He was allus an interesting poster and one of the few (like Silent) that could aid your failing memry of games you attended in yesteryear.

But the CPS are handling so many cases that the individual cost of one case is a drop in the ocean.
The shit will really hit the fan if a Judge were to summarily dismiss it.
Not even sure if the CPS can present any new evidence?
But that's a risk the CP'S will have to consider.
 
So let me get to grips with this. People are suggesting we have a third party agreement with the player of another team in our league, whereby we pay some of his wages in order that he comes to play for us in January? This deal was also helped along by the other team's manager?

That would be much more dodgy than anything West Ham did with Teves and Mascherano. I'm sure I've just missed the joke, haven't I?

Regarding Ched, I reckon it'll not go to retrial, irregardless of cost (it'll cost a damn sight more if it goes to court) the CPS will drop it at the last minute.

Whether it's true or not I can't see it happening IMO. Even though most would consider Ched to be better than the strikers we've already got what would then happen to Sharp and Clarke and what was the point in signing Lavery? (unless we've signed him as a wide player).

Maybe Clarke and Ched could play together but Billy isn't going to be happy sitting on the bench, or we sell him in January?

We've already got 2 strikers that can be goalscorers in this division so I can't really see us going out and signing a third, and even if we signed Ched it would certainly be no formality that promotion would follow.
