Having sold DCL and only brought in two loans so far, then I should bloody think so...

Hopefully a central midfielder but more likely to be a striker if anything.
 
Agreed.....loans are ok if they are good enough to improve the squad.. But a permanent...headline signing would be very nice.

Remain dubious that we can do that now.

Murphy, Diagouraga and Anthony Grant all still available.

If we have money from DCL's sale, we should go in for one of them, I'd prefer a permanent so that'd probably rule out Murphy.

A season long loan with a view to buy is just as good mate.
If a loan player gets you promoted then keeping him permanently the following season becomes a lot easier.

Coutts has done well so far this season, but he did the same last season, started well and then seemed to stop giving a shit in the second half of the campaign. We can't carry players like that, so I think we need an upgrade otherwise we're risking another Coutts goes on strike period.

Don't mind the business we've done today. LB, a CB and a Pacey forward were probably all required.

However, we haven't really made a statement with any of them despite selling Che and DCL for cash and getting a fair few off the wage bill. We were apparently bidding money for a CB before we got rid of DCL, and still haven't spent anything.

Would have been nice to get a Webster / Moncure / Wigan Winger to make some of the other sides sit up and take notice.

True Newbury, true....all the permanents well established third tier or fourth tier players for a well established third tier club....six years and counting.... I can't believe how lucky us fans are !
 
Danny Holla still not found a new club..........................time ticking..............it's gonna happen!
