There must be something wrong with his brain to choose us over Milllwall

Really. I'd have thought it was a pretty easy choice for anyone knowing their football. A much bigger club ultimately (note) destined for bigger things.

Do you actively dislike United, mate? Seriously. Personally I want is to sign good players. You (and many others) seem to be wishing our efforts to fail. Is it because you want to be proved right? I'll be very disappointed if it is but it rather looks that way. Please tell me I'm wrong...

Just a quick story about Webster instead of an excuse to have a sly dig at Utd which every other fucking post seems to be.
When he played against Donny for us at the Lane he was marking Darius Hendo a little to tightly ,Henderson warned him 3 times and Webster ignored him ,sticking his arm in his back ,next time he marked him Henderson linked his arm through Websters behind him a broke his arm ,everyone thought Webster was shamming on the floor and even the Donny fans jeered him off ,I think he missed the next 2 or 3 months.

History tells me we don't do successful Windows.

I don't want us to fail I just assume we will.

Or to put another way I expect nothing that way I'm not bothered when the window closes.

That's fine. It does rather read, though, as if you are hoping and wishing for nothing. Perhaps I'm just being cynical?...

We have got form for a variation of the following statement

"We put bids in for players/ we worked really hard"

Over the last few years.

If he's got belief in himself then I don't see why he wouldn't want the move. He'd fancy himself to improve us significantly at centre half and allow the team to build from the back. If he was also aware of our intentions in the transfer market I can see why he'd want the move from a football point of view as well as just a location point of view. And our bad start hasn't quite lasted long enough yet to convince any player that there are serious problems at the club. Millwall also got battered at Peterborough and weren't great against us, maybe there are problems there too.

Hopefully he slaps in a transfer request.

If we got him permanently I'd be happy with the majority of the rest being loan signings.

Do we really want a centre half who's just played in a team that conceded 5 to Peterborough.......then again, that might still be an improvement ;-)

Disappointed, I had Byron nailed on for at least another 95 pages. We could have had a trio of club leg ends, Burns, Morsey & Webster. We move on.

Time to close thread! If I'm honest I couldn't see us prising him away so late in the window from a team that's a rival! Only we sell players in that situation!

Still trying to prise him away from Millwall.

Player wants the move

So we wouldnt pay 500k for Mcafadzean (irrespective of whether you think he is all that he was CWs first choice in that position) cos we thought MK were charging us more than what they were prepared to sell to others, but we are now prepared to pay at least the same and possibly end up paying more for a different lad who again wasnt CW initial first pick. Maybe we should have just gritted out teeth and paid the half a mill for McFaz and had him from the start of the season. Oh well, whats done is done and hopefully we can still cut a deal im time for Webster (who i think would do well for us) though i wpuld have preferred Morgan from Wigan but it seems that one is dead in the water due to an issue between the player, his agent, and the selling club.
