George long

All advertisments are hidden for logged in members, why not log in/register?

Not in todays Squad... Could he be sick of the abuse and wants out of the toxic atmosphere?
 

I would assume George will be leaving the club. Not in the squad today and if he's getting interest from bigger clubs he may as well get more money and warm a bench.

As for the sarcy "ah Bless" he is 22. Young for an outfield player but positively embryo like for a 'keeper so the point definitely stands. Yes he still has stuff to learn but he has certainly shown improvement this season and the things that he needs to improve on most, his communication and decision making, are exactly the things that will come with experience. I would like a new number one with him as back up but we need to prioritise spending resources on other areas of more urgent need initially.

Some of our 'fans' need to work out whether it's the board or players fault. If it's the board, then surely the best thing to do is encourage what very little we have left. We have and myself included become and entitled bunch of twats

I agree that I can't see a future at this club for him. That's not to say there isn't one at another club. There's too much bad history.
 
Someone will pay a bit for him. It won't be the smallest wage to get off the books either.

I backed Long last season as he had shown signs of improving but sadly he has gone backwards again.

It's obvious with our lack of leadership and new defence he unfortunately is not good enough.

The booing doesn't help anyone, it's about time some of our fans started to understand that, we will end up like in previous seasons, where the players just want to offload the ball as soon as possible, like a hot potato.

I'm just responding to the ridiculous "don't blame the lad for not wanting to play..." as though he has a choice.

I honestly can't see how anyone can possibly defend (pun intended) him. He lacks so many qualities that are essential for even a half-decent keeper. I shan't list them again. They are multiple and we all know what they are.

He's "still young" is wearing a bit thin as well; threadbare in fact.

Can all go for me. Ive always been a big fan of Sharp and loved the fact that he was a boyhood blade. From what i hear though hes being a mardy sod at the moment as he thinks his nose his being put out of joint by Clarkes signing and the fact that he is being moved to accommodate Leon. Now taking away the pretty large part that i would have Sharp over Clarke all day long as a centre forward, he fact remains that Sharp is skipper now and if his boss rightly or wrongly wants him to do a specific short term job for the team then he should fukin well take one for the team and get on with it without acting the pre madonna. Its a team Billy and if you want to be the main man do what your gaffer asks rather than acting like a petulant child. Still if Billy went i would be gutted. Love the lad in red n white stripes. Long ..can go tomorrow for me as he just isnt food enough. Done...keep if your gunna play the lad as a centre forward...get rid if hes gunna play anywhere else on the pitch instead.

Hed probably make a fuk up of that at the moment. He would end up being rushed off the grill as he was needed far too early to satisfy the hungry hordes and after a few dodgy bites he would be wolfed down to many a apraising voice (with only a few uttering that he looks under done and a bit rare) before the party ends and he ends up giving us all the shits.

Food for thought on Long .

Long , Done , Sharp , Basham . Clean sweep by Wilder with the four of them . None are helping themselves , Wilder or the team effort .

Be nice Wilder having a chuckle to himself . Main guy helping him through this will be Knill .

McCabe needs to show his colours by financial support .

Let's forget all this Warnock rubbish and stick with Wilder . In saying that the back four is no better :)

Not that I do, but with the theory of booing affects players - would not booing Long for the next 100 games result in him being a better player? Answers on a postcard.
