I've just defended the lad on another thread but wanted to see a general consensus of the guy. I know alot of people really don't like him but i'm not sure why? Was part of the 'nearly got promotion' team and contributed with goals and assists. Had abit of a diva moment when we tried to sign him permanently with wages but might of been his agent bumping it up? Fell out of favour with previous managers and played well by all accounts for Portsmouth so why not give him a good backing and maybe Wilder has improved his play? I say give him some backing and see what happens. Personally I think a 3-5-2 formation will work best with the team.

Thats why I'd play a 3-5-2 formation, O'Connell, Wilson and Wright as centre backs and Hussey and Freeman as full backs, both full backs seem to like going forward but defending needs work. The Gary Neville quote of 'full backs are failed centre backs or failed wingers' seems to ring true and in this case failed wingers.

Unfortunately in our position we've got to ask if Bradford is providing £x thousand of pounds more a week in performance. Might be the difference in adding an extra body

For me I thought he was one of our better performers when brayford was out last year and then just disappeared, make a scapegoat for a crap defence when he was no worse than the likes of Collins or Jay. If he's got the right attitude and earned his chance in training then fair play give him a go.

He didn't play well for Portsmouth. In fact he barely played at all. 3 starts he made and the Pompey fans were shitting themselves that Cook was going to buy him this summer. It was the most unsuccessful of all the loan spells our players went on last season

Also if anyone saw his performance for the u21s (or whatever the reserve team is called now) whilst the first team were getting ready for the Bolton game, you'll know full well why he was listed by Wilder

I never ranked Jay but Collins was half decent when he first came and just unfortunately got worse as age caught up with him, he's apparently loving it in Tampa Bay though

The Pompey fans loved Davis last season and couldn't wait for him to return from injury due to Freeman's poor performances. It's strange with Freeman because now and then he looks decent but he is weak , cleary has an attitude problem and isn't someone you can rely on. The Mansfield fans were disappointed in him whilst he was there too

by all accounts has a questionable attitude and was transfer listed by Wilder. Shame as he's not without potential. Not solid defensively but OK with the ball going forward.

Plus he's a Pokemon chasing wanker.

Well I think whatever happens he'll be somebodies free signing unless he comes good

yeah the attitude seems to be a thing wherever he's been it seems

Dane there's no potential trust me

Id say he is a winger rather than a right back.

Seems like a complete twat though.

To be honest I thought that he was shocking last season. He was so poor even the oppo's goal keepers were targeting him, he was getting beat in the air and on the ground (a bit like Brayford this season). He also failed to hold a place in Pompey's team.

However at his best he's a quality attacking RB at this level. Maybe knowing that however well he played Brayford would replace him when fit didn't help. Let's hope he takes his chance and get his career back on track because if he can he'll be an asset.

Think we'd be better if Bash played full back tomorrow. Gets him out the middle for a player who can pass too.

I like him. Think he deserves a shot. Especially before fucking Basham. One strange thing I've noticed he's good at is throw-ins. Most players daren't throw it unless they're certain it's safe. He takes very positive, attack-minded throw-ins.

didn't Wilder say that he asked Basham what position he like best and he said CM? Might be along with the 'Done won't play LWB'.

It has taken Wilder 3 games to suss out George Long I suspect it will take less than that to suss Freeman
