Come on!

He's gone!

Let's all get behind the lads and see what happens.

UP THE BLADES!

Indeed... party atmosphere on Sunday boys and girls.

Balloons (you know what happened last time ;)) and 100% getting behind the lads.

Buggerit!

I want to win the FA please Kev... :D

I'm hoping every gets behind the team and Blackwell but I've already read a lot of posts on other forums that suggest that people aren't happy with this choice. Just hoping people give him a chance and don't get on his back straight away.

Unitedite will prob slag us all off for saying the opposite to what they think and all being a huge click!

I think the issue is, many people have unrealistic ideas of who we could attract as manager and what Kevin McCabe is actually trying to do.

If you ask me, its a very astute choice!

Someone in who McCabe knows and who knows the club, to stabalise/maybe even go on a little run, before reviewing things in the summer.

He could be here for the long term, he could just be the sensible stabaliser until McCabe does bring in a bigger name!

The main thing is, people wanted changes, changes needed to happen, they've now begun to happen!

Lets get behind the Blades AND Blackwell and keep our part of the bargain!

We're not in a position to pick and choose now. There are precious few managers who would have come in, but I'll admit Blackie wasn't my first choice.

Whichever way around, there has been a dark cloud over Beautiful Downtown Bramall Lane for months now. So let's hope the sun shines and smiles come back on Sunday!

Let's back him anyway and see how he does.

UP THE BLADES!

I'm more than happy to back him, as I will do anyone. I just hope it isn't a permanent thing.

I hope it is, because the only way that is going to happen is if he and the team do a good job!

Sadly even if he were to get a good series of results at this point of season, I doubt he could sustain such a run overall.

So even if we get results we should get rid of him because you doubt he can sustain it? :)

Who are we going to get that is guarenteed to? there is nobody, even the top top managers that you could say that about.

I see where you are coming from My Fox (I am allowed to abbreviate to Fox? haha) but surely you understand my meaning.

Whilst it would be nice for him to go on and win the remaining games, it isn't going to happen. If he were to do that, I'd give him a rolling month contract ;)

Blackie comes with less baggage than Allardyce; I don't think people will be expecting an immediate turnaround in fortunes as much as if Big Sam had joined us.

I also don't think we'd ever get Boothroyd.

i think that bringing blackwell in is a very good choice by king kev at this stage in the season. he doesnt need to offer him a huge salary, nor an elongated contract. end of the season and thats that..........

and lets be honest after the scenes after the scunny match, if i were a manager i would be very cautious in taking over at an already hostile atmosphere. Blackwell knows the club, fans, passion etc. not that this alone is the recipe for success, but it will hopefully get the majority of fans on his side.

UP THE BLADES

I think there is a very big possibility of a "there's only one Kevin Blackwell" chant. Mainly due to the departure of Robson.

Good appointment...for now (they'll still be people out there who are still not happy but that is the way of the world) I was prepared to give Robson 'more' of a chance but at the same time it was getting increasingly difficult for him to stay on what with everything going on!

...and we are at Wembley for a Semi!

How rude?!

:D

It's the best chance a Championship side has had in a while and with the siege mentality returning... there's nothing to say it couldn't be us.

Specially with 2 of the big four out. Liverpool gone, and now soon Arsenal/ Manure

If the winner of that game can draw Chelsea, that would amazing.

4 teams due to be left in FA Cup, 3 tomorrow ;)
