Okay, lets say we get them, then what?
What improvement will this have on the team, given that the main tactic is to lump it up to a bloke who'll never be a target man in his life, with no support whatsoever running on from midfield? How will these new players somehow magically turn this lump-fest into service for Billy Sharp that he desperately needs?
Will these new players help with tactics that give Fleck absolutely nowhere to go with the ball and no-one available to pass to?
Will these new players get the paint out and re-do the touchlines on the pitch so it becomes wider than an under-10's pitch to give our full-backs room to help out?
We might be able to stop a goal or 2 if the keeper is replaces, but by Christ, we aren't looking like scoring many goals at all.
All these new players (and the ones signed this summer) will do is be a further drain on the wage bill for the next new bloke who'll want to bring his own in when McCabe inevitably gets some stick coming his way and does what only he knows.
(and no, before you all start tapping away in furious indignation I'm not calling for Wilder to be sacked)
