If that was Kenny and Morgan they would have been arguing because they both wanted to get rid. Long is bollox yet all I seem to hear is what will it do to him if he's dropped, replaced etc fuck him the blades are more important than him. We conceded and then tosspots (I won't call them fans) took it upon themselves to take the piss out of Long which sent him well and truly off his game.

Booing his every move and shouting and jeering as he was about to take kicks.....This is totally pathetic and unacceptable!

The lad looked nervous, upset, gutted and his game went completely to pot...

I agree with the majority in the fact that Long hasn't been up to scratch and we need to look at alternatives, but whilst ever that lad has a Sheffield United shirt on, we should be doing everything we can to support him, not take the piss out of him!

It looked like to me that Long was expecting the CB to touch it back but then didn't so he was stuck in no man's land.

I agree with the first part actually thinking about it, but I thought that long was one of the better players last year(albeit not hard) and responded well after being dropped after gillingham, backed up by his consistently decent match ratings (second highest out of the squad) . Wasn't there a delay in him signing due to the contract being altered by United?

You cant blame Long. he has tried his best but is simply not good enough or has the mental toughness required to succeed.

One of Wilders big mistakes in pre season was not getting another experienced older keeper in as competition.

We needed someone who has been around the block, is able to command his box and marshall his defence and come for crosses.

The need is now urgent. I dont think that Long will be able to play at the weekend & it looks like he will be to be dropped or loaned out.

Agree with this completely, i understand people giving players shit when they look like they don't care, but Long is a 22 year old lad whose grown up supporting United all his life, how can it not affect you having several thousand people booing you?

Bramall Lane is a horrible place to watch football at the moment and some of the fans are part of the reason for it. The moronic cheer whenever Long caught the ball at the start of the game was totally pathetic and those doing it really shouldn't, what the hell do you think it is going to achieve.

The apathy and anger in the stands is horrible to be around. I'm getting close to packing it in and just going to non league, the football is shit, the players are shit and the atmosphere is poisonous.

Agreed. He's being singled out by morons. My point still stands though. In order to be a keeper you need the thickest skin in the team.
