Well It coincided with the sale of our best player by some way following which I think Dave knew we were doomed. I'm sure if this forum had been around then you'd have been telling us that we shouldn't criticise the board for selling the family silver and that Deano was easily replaceable.

Quite the contrary. I wrote an open letter to Brealey telling him he'd just relegated us. It was given a two page spread in the Green 'Un.

However, the Bassett obsession on here is excruciatingly embarrassing. He's had his day a very long time ago. His 'football' is outdated, discredited and redundant, except in S2 of course. That, sadly, is his legacy. A generation of fans who don't know the right way to play the beautiful game.

Kamani Smith is the lad. Bet he is a bit pissed his route to the first team has gone

They ain't going to be soldiering on at Shirecliffe on a Monday afternoon in December.

I await your comparative views/thoughts as the season progresses...

Now this I like to hear.
Boro well regarded for bringing through good young players, so if he's rated so highly he must be decent.

Another year older and wiser from last season too, so may well be the sort of signing we look to keep longer term if we go up and Boro stay up.

Just need him to stay fit, make the position in the team his and do the business. What we as fans need to do is give the lad time, stay off his back and encourage him to go at defenders. That's what he's been signed to do, so we need him to be confident.

With any hope he'll be the next Andy Campbell.

I can say hand on heart I will give you honest updates on our younger 17/18year olds as we move on.

I am a fan of some of these lads but I am not stupid to praise these lads at the cost of our club.
