I wonder why it all took so long to conclude? If there were appeals and retests I'd have expected it to be in the news.

But anyway, on the subject of help, he may not need any. Plenty of people do the odd line and aren't addicted (though most of them are tossers). I remember James Shield writing that he liked Baxter because he seemed an ordinary bloke who happens to be good at football. Whilst top players are obsessive about football, Baxter ain't.

On that basis he might be just fine with an ordinary job, a big fat gut, and spliff now and again. Either way I'm glad he's nothing to do with us.

your opinion. I pay money to watch professional footballers put it in the back of the next not up his feckin nose. Allegedly it wasn't his first time, so he didn't learn his lesson. Dont buy this hope he gets the help to sort himself, he would have had loads of support, much more than some homeless youth with little going for them. They are the one who deserve help when society has let them down not like Baxter who repeatedly let himself down.

He scored a damn sight more goals than a few other "professional" footballers at SUFC.

Confirmed as a stupid idiot. Had his warning when he was a lad at Everton, his ban last year was another. This is inexcusable and he needs to sort himself out.

Another example of a young lad not realising the consequences of his actions.

He should take the next year to detach himself from bad influences, start taking responsibility for himself and hopefully get back to being a footballer. He'll of course get another chance in the game and i don't have a problem with that, I wish him all the luck in the world because he'd going to need it...

Whatever. The guy has let himself down (which I don't understand given his earning potential even in Division 3), but I thought you would have had a bit more class than to wish him a "bad fix". Evidently I was wrong.

Simple, if he didn't do drugs because hes a professional footballer and a role model to the young he wouldn't have to worry about what his snow was cut with. A good example to the young that idolise footballers would be to see exactly what can happen to irresponsible role models and hope it deters them. And I thought he would have had a little more class not to do drugs knowing kids follow him. I know your not defending what hes done only my opinion and I respect that, I've seen what drugs can do to a youth and their families and I don't like it, please respect that.

Had more opportunities than most of the rest of us get. FFS it was only 12 months ago he got caught previously and sloped out from underneath.

Help? Or perhaps a kick in the ring.
