CONFIRMED Che Adams

Wilder has just today stated, as quoted by James Shield, that he is ready to jump immediately in to the transfer market again. New signings are imminent, which I believe means this week?

Wilder has obviously done his homework (probably weeks ago) and knows exactly which players he wants and needs. Players will already have been lined-up for the specific positions, that he knows are needing to be filled. The sale of Che Adams will allow him to strengthen the obvious weaknesses that Wilder knows exist.

Wilder is not stupid, and is no mug. Let the bloke do his job, and I'm pretty sure that we will do very well this season.

I imagine that Wilder would do a Spackman if the board don't keep to their word. I'm pissed off at Adams for leaving but i'm confident Wilder will spend wisely.

Brum manager contradicts Wilder.

Curiouser and curiouser??

My guess is that Rowett is just been a b it anal about it. My guess is that he's having to agree terms first and then have a medical and maybe its a the wages stage first. Either way Wilder's not going to come out and say that Adams is down at Brum without it been true, because it would disrupt the player that he might be keeping.

Wilder has only said he is in Birmingham for a medical and not which club. Maybe smoke and mirrors from Rowett but Wolves,Villa, and West Brom all in the area..
That's what I was wondering, he's never mentioned Brum, only the ITK's.

It's too late.

Well run clubs don't sell good players at this point as it disrupts things.

And it is telling you have to go back 20 years for an example of transfer money being well spent.
Why is it too late? We have over 3 weeks to get players in. Plenty of time. We have no gaurantees we will get all we want but the last thing it will be down to is surely a lack of time

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, it's a lot harder to get players in once the season starts.

If you doubt that, cast your mind back to last year.

If the money is right then it doesn't matter when it is. Pogba is your example. Let's give Wilder a chance first eh?

Just get it done and players that the squad needs.
Those points lost at the beginning of the season are just as important as the points of the last few games of the season.

I wouldn't mind that as much - Villa and West Brom certainly are bigger and better than Birmingham, Wolves are gonna be the powerhouse of the Championship too. Losing a player to Birmingham though is nearly as bad as losing one to Hull.

The money is right? This is Sheffield United.

As always, let's watch what they do.
Have we got what we wanted? Yes or Wilder wouldn't have accepted it. He has potential but is raw. Add ons could swell the coffers in the future. I'd say we've got his one pretty much right. We are league one and until that changes we will always be cherry picked. After 6 years it's time you accepted that whether we like it or not.

Only that he only played for 20 minutes in most games. Still after Woolford I suppose....

I reckon we'd need someone for the first 90 minutes on that basis mate, he hardly ever plays for them these days does he. Can't be happy with it, but will probably join one of the smaller Championship sides like, dare I say it, the Dingles!

We've lost no-one. Tufty was so reluctant to sell, he would have carried him there. That's not my idea of losing.
