Car park protest

I protested in the car park about that fat Man City twat MacDonald and his lapdog Charles Green, but Kevin McCabe has done wonders for this club in a relatively short time. I know we aren't fans of Robson, but I wouldn't give McCabe grief after all he's done for us.

I'll Applaud kev if he swallows his humble pie and sacked robson. ill ask kev if i get chance what the situation is and what he plans to do, stick with robson and throw money at him which is what robson wants, or if hes going to get rid and bring in a replacement to steady us for next seasons push.

and what will you do SF?

I'll support the team as I always will.

I'll support what McCabe decides is best for the club. He's better than anything I've seen in 38/9 years.

His words to my dad a couple of weeks ago were "Wait and see, he'll deliver, I promise you"

He also addressed the last car park protest and said on the Radio, that he was confident Robson could turn it around and that things would take time.

But any protest would be about Sornob's incompetence, not King Kev's acumen.

I wish, I really wish I could believe those words, but I just can't. King Kev HAS delivered in my opinion, but this year has been an unmitigated failure so far.

And I can only hold one person as being responsible for that.

He also addressed the last car park protest and said on the Radio, that he was confident Robson could turn it around and that things would take time.

Well he's hardly going to say "I've dropped a real bollock but don't want to pay a fortune to get rid just now.".

He's doing what a proper manager would do, by giving his staff support, and in this sporting world, public support is important. This of course is in stark contrast to the man management cock ups displayed by Sornob.

We all know that most of the press releases and public comments are spun to the extent that Mandelson would be proud, or akin to the sort of stuff that the former Iraqi Minister for Information came up with.

On a more pertinent note, do we have time? If he's unhappy with what he's got now, there's not much time to change things.

There's no doubt that King Kev is the best boss we've had for years; however, that doesn't make him untouchable or omniscient. And what good is it having a good, forward thinking board, with lots of off-pitch investment and development, if we're in League One?

I've said it before and I'll say it again; McCabe might own the club, but it belongs to us, the fans. And we'll perhaps soon see if it's such a success story for him if we get relegated and no one wants to invest, and we're left with a half-empty stadium and a hotel that no one wants to stay in.

End of the day, it's a football club - OUR football club - not a business.

But matth, it IS a business now. THAT'S the reason why I'm going non-league, as much as I really don't want to. I'm leaving because of the cash in the sport, not because I've fallen out of love with United.

If I felt that I really was a part of the club which I love, I wouldn't be going. It won't stop me wanting the best for United though, and Sornob is not that.

The one vital thing you seem to be missing in that, is that he and his family are also fans, he feels like we do...

He has far more at stake and a far bigger idea of what goes on day to day at the club.

I'll not be joining any car park protest it's not me, but I sure as hell can understand why fans would. What I cannot understand are fans who defend the clueless chimp and follow the words of McCabe more fervently than a religion. McCabe will for sure know the fans feelings more likely than not he feels just the same but sitting with his thumbs stuck up his arse is doing no good at all, time to act Kev before it turns really nasty. Like a snowball rolling down the hill once it gets bigger there is no way to stop it far better to act before this gathers momentum.

At the end of the day, whether we protest, don't go to the match, hold up red cards to Robson (as some clown on BU suggested), boo and jeer or e-mail the club - it is not up to us. We don't run the club, we're not Robson's boss - there's only a few men that can control that,and they're all "Yes Men" to Mr McCabe - and nobody will make his mind up except himself. If there was NO fans at all, not even one, it wouldn't make him change his mind, he'll make his own mind up when he wants to.

Car Park demos do nothing except humiliate the club.
Indeed we dont run the club, but we keep the club running

its not so much to show mccabe were not happy, its to put pressure on him to get rid of robson.

Whatever happens on a day-to-day basis cannot cover up the massive failure that this season has been.

McCabe is the greatest chief we've ever had, granted. But he is cocky, as are most successful business men, and that comes across in interviews so maybe those who are planning the revolt (I'm not one of them by the way) are reacting to the way he is handling the situation.

I won't be protesting against McCabe, per se, but rather the continued support from the board for a manager who is systematically:

1. Turning the once-proud club into a laughing stock;

2. Undoing all the hard work that McCabe himself, together with Neil Warnock, did for the club;

3. Robbing the players of all their passion and pride;

4. Trying to foist a 'system' upon those said players which seems to be to lump the ball into an empty space and expect them to run at it, and then maintain in the press that he's trying to get them to play 'football';

5. Coming out with increasingly bizarre and contradictory excuses after every failure, none of which seem to have any basis in reality and serve merely to try and cover up his own ineptitude; and finally

6. Eroding the fanbase of the club through a combination of the above points.

These are the reasons for which I will be joining in the protest, and I don't think that it makes me any less of a Blade.

""what is protestin gunna do for the good of the club, Robson wont go and Mcabe wont sack him so whats the point"

Porterfield, McEwan, Bassett, Heath, MacDonald, Green all despatched after Car Park protests."

And do you really think that a rabble in the car park were the defining factor?

just quoting another blades view on it.

But you surely wouldn't quote it if you felt it didn't support your opinion?

If the fans want to come across as being organised and in full possession of all the facts... standing in the car park shouting isn't the best way to put your point across.

Asking to schedule an extraordinary meeting with the board however... slightly more professional.

why not quote it if i didnt agree? is it not allowed?

just throwing a spanner into the works.

Some would call that being argumentative for the sake of it ;)

debate even? isnt this what the board is for :)

debate even? isnt this what the board is for :)

Yes... but it isn't for attempting to brute force your opinions on other people by posting the same missive ad nauseam.

asking another persons opinion and then having it avoided and asking again is brute force?

again another view of what people class as what.

Let us all just have a naked picnic in the car park, and for the record, my excuse it that it's cold.....:D

I'd rather have a clothed, liquid and indoor picnic in the Golden Lion to be honest with you.

Whatever suits the masses, if the people want me to keep my clothes on then i'll begrugdingly accept.

If it's just you however, i'll go naked in the car park anyway, may mean I can get a space to park.

:D
