There's a line in a Clint Eastwood movie where he says "Don't piss on my back and tell me its raining", or summat. That's basically been Phipps' job for the last few years.

All the best to him like.

Good for him.....another one tied up and dropped in the water with concrete boots on by McCabe.

Of course social media is the future. Maybe it needs a bit of thought how it's used but try putting it back in the box. Best of luck JIm.

far to sentimental he should just have posted this...

Good luck to Jim for the future and he really did embrace the club despite the abuse that had been sent his way at times.

He did his best to keep the fans onside when the abuse should have been directed at those above him.

Not ground breaking stuff, but it is pre-season after all, however after Phipps got a hell of a lot of criticism for his use of social media, particularly in regards to transfers, I thought it was interesting to read this the other day;

No surprises at the instigator! It would seem that this kind of stuff has been tightened up at the club which I am thankful for, its been welcoming to have transfer stuff discussed only by the management (Wilder/Knill) and for us to be able to deal with straightforward information.

At last SUFC catching up with the real world, I cannot post on social media about my job other than my position in the organisation and I suspect many others can't air their views on where they work or what they get up to either without putting themselves in danger of losing their job.
