Ok this might not be the first name that people would want at the Lane but people suggesting players like Bradley Dack, George Moncur etc need to get in the real world. Worrall is out of contract this summer and Brown has hinted that a few will leave because in some cases they want to move North again. Worrall's from Manchester and is the winger who scored a decent goal against us at Roots Hall for the winner. He's 25 and coming into his peak. I don't know much about him other than the above and he's highly rated at Southend, so I reckon he is the type we can attract and would surely improve on the likes of what we have. He was the player of the season for Bury when he was there.

I'd love to suggest more hight profile players but its not going to happen, so players like Worrall who would love to play here for us and would see it as a dream move, as opposed to the likes of Hammond who is used to big clubs and is on his way down, not up, would in my view be a good move.

Worrall's a decent shout but I think it's wrong to say Moncur's not realistic. I don't think there's much Championship interest in him.

In Moncur's case its more realistic than Dack but I can see Moncur joining a club from the South somewhere like Ipswich or Millwall.

Gilbey's the one from Colchester who might be a better bet, he's highly thought of, young and also apparently out of contract.

Aye, but I would say even less chance of recruiting him than Moncur.

can we have less logic and decent suggestions please.. thankyou :D
people were on here suggesting callum wilson and wes hoolihan years ago.. not that we ever bought anyone like

Gone to Millwall.

Saw that. Hopefully that means we get Chris Taylor. He would be a decent signing and far more affordable than Holmes. I would have expected Taylor to have signed for Millwall by now if that was his first choice because he knows the club and the manager etc.

Taylor has a number of offers from the Championship, so likely to end up there.

Back to being a squad player for him then.

Unless it's Burton or Rotherham.

Seems to be heading that way doesn't it.

I know it was us that he apparently turned down, but it was quite refreshing seeing a footballer (Revell) seemingly choose playing time over anything else.
