Which two goalkeepers who both played for the Blades belong to that unique group that have scored a goal?
One of them was 'unusual'. The player not the goal !

Hint: Both have played since the 1960's.

No cheating now. ;)

Do you mean goals for clubs other than United? If so Alan Fettis played up front for Hull and scored in the early 90's. Other than that I'm stumped.

You have missed Fatty Foulke who went up front and scored a couple of goals against a black South African touring team.

Paul Tomlinson scored on an American tour in 1985. Don't know the other.

Yes for Chesterfield v Wrexham in early 1980s.

Paddy Kenny scored in the FA Cup penalty shootout against West Ham in 2004 (I think)

No, Kenny didn't take one (though he saved two).

He took one, and missed it, against Watford in the League Cup earlier that season. We lost that shoot out 4-2.

Wasn't too hard was it?

Jim Brown and Alan Fettis. Of course neither did it for the Blades. Both scored two each. So as a keeper it really was just Jim Brown.

Fettis a long standing player with Hull sometimes played as a striker as they were so short of players on occasions.

Four not two.

Didn't remember Fettis.

Good question. What's the next one?

If i remember correctly Paddy Kenny went up front in a charity friendly game against a Cricket team or something like that years ago?

Very interesting indeed.
It won't be topped today on here.
That's on a par with Woodward's goal from a corner v Ipswich Town.
Magnificent.
As I am aware, Woody's goals direct from a corner were against Newcastle (h) in Sept 1969, Leicester (a) Sept 1971, Coventry (h) Nov 1971 and Norwich (h) Jan 1973. Which Ipswich match were you thinking of?

Congratulations Silent Blade ...
You saw my "deliberate" mistake and corrected it.

Well Done.

I always thought Ipswich Town was spelt

C O V E N T R Y ... C I T Y.

That's who I meant.

On another note. Four goals direct from corner kicks.

Alan Woodward. Four, direct, from corner kicks.

I nominate the Bramall Lane Stand, now the Alan Woodward Stand.

Fettis always sound a little 'off' to me - as though it's been left without a cover of cling film for too long, or summat
