First complaint, why is the sponsor so big on the back? Where's the name going to go?

I think some of the foreign footy teams have the player names underneath the number?

i wonder who the first suit in football thought 'ya know what - we can squeeze at least one more logo on this. just turn around a sec? bingo?'

that person needs a scissor kick to the bollocks. every day, for a month.

Well, it's nice to the back to stripes. Not a fan of the black shoulders and collar. If that were red or white I would be happy with it. Happy enough with black shorts and socks (though prefer white myself having got into supporting the blades significantly in the 92-94 laver laces collar kit).

Should have been this, with a black collar and cuffs. Done. Sold.

Or this, but my personal preference for black pinstripes and a black collar means I'd tweak it slightly.

Or the Argentina kit, bodged with red'n'white stripes as above. This with thin black pinstripes between the red and white would have been bought, by me at least, immediately. If not sooner. If this is what they'd've released, I'd've had the afternoon off work so that I could drive back from Chezzy to Bramall Lane to stride into the club shop and forcefully purchase about 15 of them.

(All credit to Barney, dannysufc_ and Blade95 for the mock-ups. Maybe the club or adidas should employ them for the '17-'18 kit design...)

that company deffo missed a trick with its name. "DeeDarDoorDeals" is much better.... its genuinely fun to say. and could easily fashion a cool hip jingle around it.

Let it go, you missed the deadline.

I'm happy with that. A kit too good for league one. Enough games, now we leave this bastard league.

apart from adidas®'s inability to sort out striped sleeves, I like it, I think we've got the better version of it than Sunderland, though it is getting very patchworky round the shoulder - it'll look worse when players wear long sleeves underneath it (why the heck don't they make a long sleeve version anymore?).

The front sponsor logo is handled better than anything we've had for years, the sponsor has sensibly not insisted on their corporate colours and it's neat, unfussy and quite high on the chest.

I even like black socks - (Sunderlands are traditionally red)

Got to admit, the more I see it the more I like it. Think the shoulders actually look okay with the white strips. Still need to see the real deal with names and numbers but think we can safely say it's a huge improvement :)

Love the shirt, and if it didn't have the sponsorship on the back on the kids shirts then I'd order them for my two boys now. I can just about get over the sponsor at the front, but I'm just not comfortable having kids as walking billboards. Plenty of other clubs have no sponsor options on kids kits, but perhaps it's too much to ask for SUFC to offer the same. Shame really.

I just request a small copyright fee...

A relief it's a stripped back.

One of the better ones of recent times, I would give it 8 and half out of 10.
