Part of the reason companies sponsor shirts is because large numbers of people buy them and then walk around with their logo on.
If shirts were available without a sponsor on them, everyone would buy them so our sponsorship money would be less.

If Celtic can offer both : Sponsored / Non Sponsored.

At the same price.

Why couldn't SUFC offer the supporters the option?

Some maybe would buy both, doubling the turnover, those who won't buy a shirt that's sponsored to death, maybe would consider spending?
Who are more important to the club, the humble, everyday, man-on-the-street, raggamuffin, non ST Buying Blade supporter or....
The front of the shirt, back of the shirt, back of the shorts, sponsor, company of "Blades' Supporters?"

I'd be all over a non-sponsor shirt. Sponsor names almost always look abysmal and nearly always put me off buying one. If I'm ever bought one as a gift, it's enough to stop me wearing one. I can see that the sponsor's interest is tied to the fact that thousands of people will be walking around Sheffield with their company name emblazoned across their chest and back, but it's not for me. Even if you could pay for a premium 'non-sponsor' version I would probably bite.

I spy with my little eye, someone beginning with Foxy

Get him to turn round, walk back about 12 feet, and smack James Shield right in his useless, single-sentence-writing-style, regurgitating-the-same-non-information, shitty-chinny-neck-beard face will ya? Reading his "stories" in The Star reminds me of being in pre-school listening to "Wot I did on me hollydaze"...

I'm ambivalent about the whole sponsor thing*, but wouldn't a plain shirt just look like an Adidas template kit with a badge stuck on?

I'm having flashbacks to last year :D

* I don't buy the shirts until they're cheap and only then to wear in the gym.

To be fair, a well considered Shirt / Sponsor combination CAN work well. The Wards era shirts are a prime example, but when the colours clash with the shirt and the sponsor logo's are little more than a vinyl square ironed onto the front, it just looks like a shitty afterthought.

Looks fantastic TBF. So glad to see some synergy between the sponsor's logo and the shirt colour. Hope the back of shirt logo has been considered as well.

Not keen tbh.

Shoulders should have been red not black and it'd have been ok. I like the black collar, but should have had black trim on the sleeve collars too. Personally, I like black pinstripes bordering the red stripes.

Yet again we get a kit that doesn't look as good as some of the fan-renditions on here.
