Little known fact, he made his Football league debut at the Lane, as a sub for Bristol City, after signing from Ebbsfleet.Hasn't he always been crap in League football?
I believe this was posted on another thread:
The Akinde bandwagon is growing...
I believe this was posted on another thread:
Big strong lad, seems to thrive on going down in the box!, can I be the first to say "he would tear this league a new one"
Er ....... are you allowed to say things like " thrives on going down in the box " ???![]()
UTB & FTP
Well 250k was said to be the release clause in his contract.
I'd take him over Novak.
I have this horrible feeling that once Charlton know he's willing to leave they'll just out bid us.
Luckily wilder will know a lot about this lad so if he's worth it he'll pay the money and like with the others- if he's not, he won't
Wow, I'm staring to talk like it's Wilders money he's being so careful with it.
Don't understand all this bigging up Charlton and one or two others,Charlton can't sign them all can they ! how many players can they take on there budget.According to Mr Wilder we have a competitive budget which means we can compete with the so called money bag teams in this division?.I have this horrible feeling that once teams know he's willing to leave they'll just out bid us.

I doubt that any team in this division can out bid us if we really want a player..
The over riding factor is whether these players would come for the right reasons,we have to trust the manager on that one.He says he wants committed players with bottle ,how about giving him the time and space to get the right kind of players in ,be it Bos man's or transfer fees
Agree 100% enigmagicOf course we could compete with any club in this division in terms of transfer fees and wages if we really wanted to. The point is that we've taken a conscious decision to rein in our spending in order to be more sensible with the funds we have, so we don't repeat past mistakes of paying ridiculous wages to undeserving players. In the long term this will pay dividends, however frustrating it may be in the short term when the likes of Charlton sign our supposed targets. Let them be the ones to make the same mistakes we have in the past.
Could this be the reason we have allegedly withdrawn the Clarke bid.
Just posted by a blades fan on BM:
"just had a text off someone who sometimes knows a bit, truth be told the texts ive had before usually have around a 50% success rate, in the past ive known of a few transfers before they happened, but also a fair few have not come to fruition, anyway reckons we have stuck a 250k bid in for barnets john akinde, dont know what to think if true, clearly over the last couple of seasons knows where the net is, 6 ft 2 power house, still only mid 20s, but i cant get rid of this niggle that he may be at his level in league 2"
