Before the thread police come screeching in, I'm not suggesting them and I'm certainly not ITK enough to claim it's an "incoming" but would anyone take any of these guys?

Killa was a decent player but players coming back never really works out.

We need players with pace who will improve going forward - That's what we should be looking for.

Assuming his legs haven't gone Killa would do a good job in any L1 side.

Not sure about other 2.

No. We don't need players on their way down. We've been signed players like that for the last 5 seasons.

We need energy and passion. Look at Barnsley - packed full of younger players with pace, hunger and movement.

End of discussion, have a like

Also re Kilgallon it took him a dozen games to get his shit together people forget that. We all thought l**ds had had our pants down before he got going.

I don't think we should just sign young players alone. I think a mixture would be fine. But the main thing we need is pace, as well as the odd old head.

Leader on the pitch plus a hard man. Can be one person or two but both needed.

Personally and this is just an opinion, I don't think we should sign anyone over the age of 23 who want an opportunity to succeed and haven't had a big contract. Players who have already moved for a pay day have no motivation to succeed when playing at a lower level and we are living proof of that

Spurr would be a decent signing. Good height and has a long throw too, can also play LCB if we ever go with three at the back. We can't really be turning down decent left backs on free transfers. We hardly want to be spending a fee there. Joe Mattock and Derrick Williams are two more decent out of contract left back options.

The rest of the old Wednesday defence are out of contract too - Buxton, Wood and Beevers. As filthy as it would be, we could do much worse than that!

Why is he?

The second that Sunderland came sniffing around, he no longer gave a fuck about us. He just stopped playing. He was practically smirking whenever we let a goal in after that.

I remember being at a pre-season friendly at Sheffield FC. Someone shouted to him from the sidelines, "You gonna stay with us Killa?". He just gave the bloke a look as if to say "yeah, as if".

Complete and utter arsehole, and virtually unseen since he left.

I always rated spurr, the little tinker scored a beauty against us at the lane,28 years old,not a bad shout and I would have thought a realistic target

Fucking hell, are you some sort of body language expert?

The way I see it, he did well for us and can't fault anyone for being ambitious and wanting to play at a higher level.

We already have experience in Brayford, done, sharp, basham. Long is in his 5th year. That's enough for me, anyone we being in now their pace, power and ability are more important than their experience.

It's a fair enough point, your post just reminded me of Alan Hanson that's all.

No, I was just about 4ft away from him at the time. His disdain for us was obvious. As was the way he conducted himself on the pitch.

Lots of players have left us to move on, I don't begrudge them one bit. He and Slew on the other hand are a different story.

Joe Mattock one of the worst fullbacks I've seen at the Lane in 40 plus years. Utter wank, with a stinking attitude.

Played up to the pork "massive " tag too.

I think we need a very specific criteria for new signings. Gone are the days of players who once played a good game and lived off this for most of their career, what we need are players who are a minimum of 5' 3" tall, possessed of a good pair of bollocks, trimmed if not the full english of course, and will have the most extraordinary clauses inserted in their contracts that holds this club to a state of near financial ruin......there, nothing unusual about any of that, it might not make for a winning team but it will ensure we go around in ever decreasing circles for a further decade or so.

Another player on the long list of utter bilge we've had turning out in the last 5 years.

I know you don't need my backing to kick off at a player Tyler but I'm with you. I never forgave Doyle for arguing with our away fans and he put all his efforts into this club.
I was furious the day Killa left but if what you're saying is right then he can bollocks, I'd rather have a player half as good as him who'd give his all for the team.
