What can be said about todays "performance".
If anyone can give me a person who put a performance in today then I'll be very surprised.
Lets face it, it was never a penalty. I don't think it was a free kick for their goal. I don't think the referee had a good day at the office all in all. But at least it was the same both ways.
Beattie missed a penalty, Armstrong missed a free header and Hendrie smashed a shot wide which was easier to score. Atrocity? Yes very much so.
Blackpool didn't look like scoring, so Lucketti thought he would fuck about in defence and lose the ball. Then give away a free kick that went in to the middle of the net, where Kenny was we shall never know.
The crowd pissed me off more than anyone today though, fucking idiots on the Kop who clearly know NOTHING about football was booing when we took off Sharp, who ran a lot but did absolutely nothing of note. The crowd go on to sing "you don't know what you're doing" and "we want Bryan Robson out" only 50 minutes after they was singing "Robson give us a wave"..... retarded fucking morons like this remind me why I prefer away games to home.
Back to the game. We take Beattie off, I don't know why but I'm assuming he has an injury and bring on Hulse when clearly Stead should have been put on. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Hulse, but why he comes on before a fully fit Stead I shall never know.
Robson is driving this club further and further downhill. The signing of Speed is fantastic, but in my opinion it is far too little far too late.
Apologies for the swearing, and anybody who reads my posts on a whole know I barely ever swear in them, but certain occasions require certain obscenities.

Agreed Robbie on the most post especially about Stead for Beattie and the Crowd. Stead, as i will keep saying, has been one of our better players this season and why Billy Sharp is starting i don't know and i think it was clear Hulse isn't fit enough yet too. And When the crowd started booing Robson for taking him off was ridiculous.
Definatlety a penalty, Sharp would've been infront of his man and had a chance on goal if he hadn't been pulled back. I'm undecided about the free kick, it looked as if Lucketti won the ball to me and slighty caught their player.
One last thing, we're playing 10 men, and when they get a corner we have 11 players in the box so when it gets cleared it goes to one of their players and puts the pressure straight back on us!
From the Kop it looked like it wasn't a penalty. But I maybe wrong.
As for the Lucketti incident, I thought he got the ball in the challenge, but he shouldn't have got himself in that prediciment,
Also a further point. Why does it take us till 2 minutes before end before we start putting any fight in?

I was bang in line with it and 100% penalty and Lucketti shouldn't have got himself in that position, made a few other mistakes as well i think
And why is it always our players that seem to slip?

I dunno. I know that's the plan with 11 against 11 but surely not 11 against 10. But then again, the players have brains. Blackpool had 2 players on the half-way line and the corner taker. We will have had 2 players on the posts. Which leaves one of our players stood about picking his nose.
But yes, Kidd and Robson should've been screaming at one of them to get out. Hardly cost us 2 points though, unlike our wasteful finishing.

Our finishing was about as lethal as a toothless sheep. Admittedly we were bombarding Blackpool towards the end of the match, but against sides like that, especially ones reduced to ten men early on, we should have the result wrapped up by half time. A draw against most of the sides in this division is simply not acceptable. We should be winning, and winning well. We aren't. Nowhere near good enough Robson.
Funny how nobody said thia at the begining of the season ain't it?

Most of the chances that were missed fell to non-strikers - Stretch, Keef being 2.
Billy, Beattie, Hulse & Stad would have buried those chances but they didn't fall to them so we can't dwell on it as a 'What if'
Was a better performace effort wise (more like the united of old 'last season' in players giving 100%), but still seemed a bit lost at times and went back to paddy far too much.

It wasn't the strikers who missed the chances though, thats what i said. It was the midfielders who missed the most chances.
