Just watched the highlights on BP.

Billy's goal starts with their throw in (and the commentator talking about us not letting them rest). We let them have it, then Coutts presses, picks it off....and the rest is history ;)

Second one is a bit longer. Decent work from Hammond shielding the ball - lays it off backwards  - Jay plays it into midfield - Cuvelier loses it - but we hunt the ball down - nice bit of skill - looks up - good cross. Hard to tell for sure if it was a penalty, but I can't see Billy missing that chance unless he was fouled.

Clip includes definite signs of Woolford marauding - and some people are still skeptical .

Great to see. Players embracing the 3-5-2.

Incidentally, & getting a bit grandiose, 3-5-2 seems to have potential to unite the "purist" elements & the "up-and-at-em" elements of the fan base.

Playing good, crisp, passing football with aggression & at high intensity. What's not to like?

Good clips. Not sure why you have one of DCL running the ball out v Oldham though on your channel?

Mentioned in a thread at the time: it looked like a really good situation...and it just petered out into nothing.

He's definitely got potential and I imagine in an u21s game something would have come of that. But it didn't.

So: The pointlessness is the point. Cerebral stuff. ;)

I had to listen to RS commentary while at work unfortunately, but just watched it back...I was impressed with the pressing, and we never let them settle..only criticism was not enough quality balls in from wide, otherwise we could have doubled the score..7's alround..Coutts 8 ran the show for me 2nd half...liking the 352 and after serious doubts about keeping Adkins,I've U-turned to giving him more time after recent improvement.

If you mean the one just before the end of the game, it was a penalty all day long... We were stood just behind the net.

Yep, I was just to the side where Sharp celebrated, stonewaller, as was the one where Flo got brought down. Good save to be fair but it was one of those where you'd demand "penno or goal" if you were 10 and nothing else will suffice

I was with the Chesterfield fans, trying to look miserable* - and not get caught texting updates to my mate who couldn't make it.

It looks like a penalty on the video just because of the way he misses. Adkins said it was in his interview. He also mentioned that if the game situation was different the ref might have given it.

But...what if we miss the play-offs by one goal?

What if, more pertinently, Jesus comes back riding a dinosaur?

I would love us to play a pressing game, but I think our midfield last season lacked the strength, stamina and determination to do it for more than the odd game.
