Brilliant, even though he did misspell biased. It was common in those days for "journalists" to wrongly portray us as a team of thugs. It was fine for other teams to try kicking us off the pitch, but not for us to compete with them.

Not OTT at all. Btw, I didn't and don't have a problem with it. That was how it was in those days and some of the best players at the time could also give it out as well as take it (Mark Hughes v Bradders for example).

Leeds Utd in the 70s were thugs. Compared to them we were saints.

Basically we used to compete at the same level as the opposition. Something which has been sadly lacking in recent years.
 
Long live thuggery I say. It's far preferable to the gutless insipid shite served up in subsequent years.
