McNulty

I doubt wilder will take any shit and sounds like he is learning. A good third striker at this level of he wants to be.
I think Wilder will sort them all out. But he's not going to fuck people off if they can do a job for him. Now that the Scouse geography teacher has gone I think the mood in the camp will be much better.

Actually, I can picture Adkins droning on about Ox-bow lakes and how peninsulas were formed.

Seems to me mcnulty is exactly the type of player to suit Wilders style of play

I'm confident he'll sort his attitude out, if there is a problem

Instead of showing him a fucking motivational video about geese. I think Wilder will look McNulty in the eye and ask him if he's up to the challenge. You generally get an inkling at that point who passengers are.

First post so go easy. It seems a major criticism of McNulty is the way he wears his jumper in an over the shoulders fashion. I can only aspire to this as I have not got the Italian loafers or style to pull off this ensemble. I'm more of a jumper tied round the midriff person worn with a pair of Clark's extra wide comfort fit on the feet. The only fashion decision I have to make is does the jumper tie above or below the beer gut (I suspect the latter is cooler). If his jumper wearing is a major stumbling block to progressing his career as a blade, I suggest a compromise of draping the jumper through the handle of his man-bag.

I don't ever want to see McNulty in a Blades shirt again.

The bloke's a cunt, a trouble causer, and a poisonous influence on dressing room moral. Add to the fact, that at least 50% of supporters have turned on him, means that he doesn't have a future here.

Basically, all the things that SUFC are so desperately trying to rid themselves of, McNulty encapsulates.

It's a shame! The lad obviously has talent, and could have been a young star here, had he been more mature, and conducted himself more professionally.

Time for a new start. Clear out all the old unwanted rubbish, and start afresh. Wilder knows his stuff at this level, and I trust him to get it right. He sounds like a bloke that doesn't suffer fools lightly.

Up The Blades. (From a self-confessed Bladey-Blade. And proud of it).
Speak for yourself pal. Why not let Wilder make that decision about McNulty. From what I understand It's mainly the "twitter twats" that hate him. I'm only interested what he does pitch and if Chrissie Wilder thinks he can use him and harness his obvious talent. I for one would welcome him back.

Fuck it. Tell him to sod off.

Amazing how tying a jumper around your neck can personify true evil in such a way. Does anyone know about his off the pitch indiscretions? Actually what he's accused off? Because I'm sensing the usual miserabollocks from some blades again.

Thanks Barney

I don't know about the jumper/lollipop ensemble myself, although I have frequently seen it mentioned on here.

But that's the least of his crimes. The utter disregard for his role on the pitch that he often demonstrated is a more serious one.

Combine that with the big fucking entourage he dragged down from Edinburgh every week to go on the lash and then tweet about his cuntish adventures of a weekend having done fuck-all to earn it is the bigger issue.

He epitomises everything that is wrong with the players at this club right now.

Do you never go out at the weekend if you've not been at your best at work? He's a young lad enjoying his life and has a lot to learn- agree it feels shite when they haven't performed or the teams lost but it doesn't mean they have to stay behind doors! I honestly think he could be a good asset to the Blades and his loan spell will have done him the world of good.

What he does on a weekend isn't the issue. It's having the privilaged position of being a professional footballer and having the responsibility of performing to 20,000 people who pay good money to support this club every other week.
To disregard that is utterly contemptible in my eyes.

McNulty could be a decent player - he's shown it in flashes - but he isn't because he's either too conceited or too bloody stupid to take good advice. Probably both.

Let him stay at Pompey for a few quid and a sell-on clause, just in case he grows up.

I reckon with Wilder at the helm he'll either grow up quickly or fuck up. Either way, Wilder will sort out what's best for SUFC.

FWIW I hope Nuts grows up. He's got a rare talent and if he listens and harnesses it he can take his career a long way and us with him.

We're not Fannying abart, tha' kno's

He's a very natural finisher and he could start to thrive if Wilder can sort him out.

If CW thinks he should go to bible class every day after training, thats ok by me. But being in the league that we're in and the fact the game changing money is not forthcoming. Beggars can't be choosers, I think we might have to use McNulty, as cover at least.

Get rid, get rid and get rid again.

No clean slates. No forgiveness. No more expectation of water becoming wine.

Get. Feckin. Rid.

This. How can we start again if we keep half the useless pricks that got us into this mess? Ship em all out and start again.

Agreed. Don't forget NW took players with bad reputations, Brown for example, and sorted him out through exemplary man management.

I trust Chrissy's judgement.

Warnock also wasted money on 'bad boys' who he couldn't sort out like Morrison and Nicholson. But generally I agree, it's up to Wilder what he does.

We seem to be trapped in a way of thinking; new manager comes in, we all go 'great, let's back him'. Then he does stuff that we don't agree with, that we wouldn't do 'if we were manager' (sometimes forgetting we're not really football managers), we doubt him and if we don't stay in the top two all season (which is our divine right) 'he must be shit, sack him'.

And every time we sack a manager we press 'reset'. Each time, we enter a transitional period during which not everything is likely to go right.

I hope, probably in vain, that whatever Wilder does, whether it's releasing Long, or retaining McEverley, we back him on it.
