Just scored the goal that could take AFC Wimbledon into the Playoff Final. I think I only ever previously saw him score in the defeat at Coventry City.

21 other goals this season you've missed then:)

Another player who oddly scored just 2 league goals for us both in the same match?

Mr. Tony McMahon

2 free kicks away at Crawley in December that put us top of the league.

Or trap a ball

Okay, but other than shoot, trap a ball, or dribble, what did Lyle Taylor fail to do for us?

I remember him hitting one of the most spectacular volleys I've ever seen and nearly busting the back of the Bramall Lane end net from about 35 yards. Unfortunately the whistle had already gone for something or another, but it was a bloody good strike!

I remember this. Possibly even further than that and one of the best strikes I've ever seen. Utterly bizarre given how he hit the ball (or usually didn't) the rest of the time.

Can anybody remember who that disallowed goal was against? I feel the need to drudge through the blades player archives to watch it again if it still exists

I believe it was against Bournmouth in a 5-3 win or something like that, Ryan Flynn was also excellent that day if I remember correctly. John Cofie also got one or maybe even two. First game after we sold Quinny and unveiled the Jess Ennis stand as well!

Whatever happened to Bournemouth? :)

Here come the Kevbots. ...

"They broke ffp rules.......massively in debt.....what happens when owner has had enough......soon be back to their level.... I'm just glad I still have a club. .....no foundations unlike what we are putting in.... Careful what you wish for... "

Have I missed any?

Yeah without Kev we'd be bankrupt...just ask Leicester and Southampton fans how going bankrupt under tinpot owners completely ruined their clubs !

I was a bit dissapointed we let him go. Not because I think he's a world beater, but he offered a physical threat that we'd lacked since Ched's departure.

He physically had the full package, much like our Che: strength and pace in abundance. And while people above have fairly pointed out that his first touch or finishing left a little to be desired he had potential and we signed him off the back of a great season in Scotland

Brownie Jnrs indoctrination day that day. 4 years later he has seen the Blades over 50 time, at 6 different grounds and been a ST holder the last 2 seasons.

Just a shame we are still in this bastard division.

He was excellent that day, he was fast just a pity he couldn't shoot!

The lad showed potential but wasn’t ready for League 1 back then (hence also struggling with Scunny). Clough also didn’t seem to like his attitude. It seems that dropping to league 2 might have helped his development as he’s starting to look a decent player. I always though he might make a good league 2 striker as I said when he played for us that his game reminded me very much of Evans in the Championship. Promise, bit of pace and power but not quite the anticipation, positional sense and speed of thought to regularly get the better of defenders at that level.

Yeah I remember that, hell of a strike.

Could have sworn McMahon scored more for us. I remember him hitting the bar v Brentford at home with a late penalty but I thought he scored a couple from the spot for us?

No he didn’t play for us back then. It was the season after. Maybe Crawley at home?

1-1 draw with King scoring for us? Not certain it was that game. Could have been one of the home wins v Vale or Crewe around the time Weir was sacked and Morgan/Clough took over.

Yeah I had a feeling about him that like Murphy, he might come good over time. Does anybody remember the absolute rocket of a shot at Peterborough as well. I think the crossbar's still rattling.

Only other goal he scored was a free kick at Oxford in the FA Cup.

Balancing the books and self imposed austerity measures do work. . . . . Don't they Kev?

The more embarrassing angle that I took out of this story, is that a club, founded in 2002, without huge financial backing, have managed to navigate themselves to (almost) on a par with ourselves on the field of play. A round of applause for Kevin McCabe.

Had you not realised we were shit until now?

Thinking about it you're right, John Cofie also hit a belter that day and my wires were crossed damn!
