Good preseason but I remember us looking like Barcelona preseason with Weir. A tough season ahead and I'm trying to keep expectations reasonable. I have a feeling Adams won't start which would be disappointing.

Barring further injuries or new signings, I think the following are nailed on to start:-

CM Basham
LW Murphy
FW Sammon
FW Sharp

That leaves 2 places up for grabs:-

LB Harris or McFadzean or Woolford
RW Adams or JCR or Woolford

Personally, I would go with Harris (if fit) and Adams

Please tell me people aren't seriously suggesting putting Adams on the wing just to get him in the team?

The lads playing well up front, spent 90% of pre-season there, and is the reason we're excited about him.

I'd rather have him on the bench ready to come on up front rather than 'fitting him in' in another position.

The lad needs to be upfront, enjoying himself, playing with freedom.

Spurs/Swindon, yeah granted, scored goals, but they were matches where we were chasing the game - he had zero other job other than to attack.

Woolford was poor against Newcastle but that was what, his second pre-season game after a pre-season where he trained alone, think we can safely say he'll improve.

Adams is a striker, play players where they are most affective, its simple.

I was scrolling down, planning to type this, both the Woolford thing and the team. He's never been a full back, strange choice to say the least. Presume he'll play as Adkins own, looked decent so far, can tell he's missed some pre-season so he should get better. Rest of team picks itself really.
