Zak Brunt and Kacper Lopata

Christ on a bike, I wish I was. I keep on saying this, but the National League is a world away from the Championship so the quality will never be the same, BUT, your pair are getting reviews from supporters of many years who have witnessed playing standards in the Championship downwards and we are pretty much convinced that those two can do it at a much higher level. How your coaches take the lads forward is anyone's guess but properly managed they can be a valuable part of your future. I really do wish they were a bit more gash and we could keep them but that just ain't going to happen.

Is anyone on here getting any reports on Zac Brunt's progress? It would be nice to think that he is developing at the same level as Kacper and Harrison. Apart, obviously, from when we play Notts county at the Hall, and then we are going to kick their arses and Zac's with it. Maybe Borat can help?
Unfortunately it looks like he's made the wrong move. My cousins a pie and gets down to games occasionally. They were surprised when he signed because they were after a forward. He replaced one of the favourites Vincent and struggled in his first few games. Since then he's mainly made subs appearances.

They are playing him in a 3 out wide which doesn't suit him. Cousin feels theres a player in there but Pies are unforgiving at the moment as their frustration at the possibility of another season in the National League is growing. Even a respectable 3-3 draw away with Solihull with a weakened team hasn't satisfied them. Cousin says its getting toxic at Home games and every little mistake is being picked on. Not the best environment for a youngster to develop. He should have stayed putt at Roots Hall but then you wouldn't have the benefit of young Neal.

I loved what Zac bought to the side and I was disappointed when he moved on, but understood. As the fates would have it, getting Neal was absolutely the better deal. Having all three would have proved interesting, but probably one loan player too many.

Fuck and bollocks and repeat!!! I'll wish him well when I've stopped being very very grumpy.

Sorry Roots seems we’ve got a massive crisis at CB one academy lad in the starting 11 today and Lopata as cover. Odds of us being without 4 first team centrebacks are long but that seems to be where we are.

We know what it feels like to have the rug pulled from under us with loan players so I’m sorry mate. Hopefully it doesn’t derail you too much and it’s a relationship both clubs continue to build.

Sorry about that mate. I do feel for you as you are now in with a shout getting into playoffs too. I'd be devastated if Wolves recalled Gibbs-White (although I don't think they can).

Unfortunately we are in the shit big time when it comes to centre halves. We are literally down to bare bones.

Good luck for the rest of the season. Hopefully the Blades will do the decent thing and look after Southend again with some of our prospects in the near future. Looks like you have done an excellent job in development the ones who've already been down with you guys.

Unreal that we have:
A) 10 players out injured
B) 7 of them are senior defenders

Come on Blades - as it says in the tunnel "Strength through Adversity"!

We've got a 17 year old midfielder on the bench today. One more injury and we might have to recall Neal.

Good luck Kacper, I have to admit you were my favourite of our loanees, not least because of your incredible hair cut but also your ability to hit oposition forwards hard but fairly (most of the time). I wish you every success in the first team squad and I hope you get some minutes that justify the recall. Font size will improve when disappointment subsides.

Sorry that we had to do this to you, mate, but as others have said, we are absolutely in the brown stuff with regards to injuries.

It looks like a relationship that is good for both parties, so I am sure we will continue to send you players, hope so anyway.

Given your injuries it was always on the cards. I just hope that if he gets the opportunity he performs as well for you as he has for us. If he does I hope you will see the progress he has made and will not be disappointed. I wish him al the best for the future, he's a lovely lad much loved by the Roots Hall faithful.

I dropped Kacper a tweet on his account wishing him well and a got a 'like' from him. I will no longer be abusive about Twitter. Love the guy.

Ouch, I've just seen your result for today.
Too much disruption Roots. Missing both first team RB’s 4 first team CB’s a first team CM and a first team striker. We’ve battled on manfully for weeks in the cave of terrible injury record but we’re really down to the point of just finding bodies to play in some positions now.

Are they long term injuries, hamstrings and such? Nothing worse than the ones that take an age of physio and careful nursing to avoid another longer time out through 'back too soon'.

We keep getting soft tissue injuries because our training pitch is fucked.
