Did anyone actually get paid for designing our new kits?

If they did the they should be ashamed!

Some of the ideas on this page pish all over our official ones.

Exacerrly! We cannot compete with this marketing genius. :D

Potential NSFW...

Look, and this is serious now, when the Government remove the God given right to access porn on the internet from the Englishman's home, you'll be looking at this 'marketing' and thanking me.

Hang on, now I'm thinking about that John, a little bit of sick has burped up into my mouth.

From memory, the lady in my previous post was a volunteer student and I have a vague recollection of a very sheepish looking Jag's being photographed with her.

Mmmmmmmmm......... Jags back in a blades shirt......... worth knocking one off over :D

I'd start a few weeks before with an advert in the star, nothing huge on about page 8.

promo pic 3.jpg

The lads in the background would be wearing the kit but you wouldn't be able to really see it.

Then a couple of weeks later after running the first ad in the paper and tweeting it a few times I'd start slowly showing bits of the kit off, using images from when I took the new kits up to the local pitches with a group of lads, maybe students maybe the local league champions. The launch is for the 125 years kit, the only 2 constant in all that time have been the red and white kit and the fans.

Then this one (obviously in the sufc shirt):
promo pic 2.jpg

After a week of hammering those two images on social media, I would finally show the front of the kit (please excuse the piss poor photoshop):

To show off the kit fully, I would then have the following on the online store, it could be interactive, with clickable parts, rotatable shirt etc, some students up at Hallam would do this is as a cheap way.

shirt spread.jpg

As mentioned in the spread, I would try and bring back the Steel City Cup pre season tournament to celebrate Sheffield's football history and heritage. Using the Emirates cup as a template, with 2 games per day.

Its taken me about 45 minutes to do that, which it seems is 44 minutes longer than United actually did to launch a real kit.

I think your post should be floated about twitter/facebook in order to get the attention of a lot of fans to then share it and then hopefully the club realise how to promote next seasons shirt in a professional manner.......

Foxy can this be shown to the club at the next 'meeting' exactly the sort of thing i and others expect from a professional club!

The Italian kit company Errea have a kit designer on their website.

A quick play about and I've come out with these... my favourites are the late 80's retro flashback (a la Deane and Agana) and the away kit which evokes memories of Hillsborough '92 and one Bobby Davison...

Dunno if it's just me, but i always prefer our home shirt when it has fewer stripes. The extra bits of white give it a sharper look. I like white sleeves too, as opposed to striped ones. That said, i'm sat here wearing the vintage Bassett era deckchair one. The most stripey one in our history i imagine. Not that i go around counting the stripes on shirts very often, has to be said. :)

Excellent stuff Worksop. Should be sent to the club immediately as a great model for next year. Again, what the club have produced this year isn't a time issue, or a money issue, it's simply that the people in charge of this sort of thing have minimal creativity or understanding of what's expected in 2013. In 45 minutes you've produced a better marketing concept and kit than the club has probably ever produced.
