Considering the dead rubber we have on the wednesday v grimsby. We can afford to play relatively strong team that we couldve without Grimsby in the week. Because Grimsby is where we make 11 changes & put all our youngsters in.

V orient id like to see 6/7 of main players in to keep his this famous cup to keep unbeaten momentum up, 34 yr record & maybe get a huge side or Wednesday in 3rd rd at home

We would probably save £5K in appearance bonuses.
(Assuming Juniors don't have the same level of bonuses in their contract as the Seniors and I can't imagine they do).

Hell, if we'd been clever about it we wouldn't even need to pay the fine!

Sub 2 lads for youngsters at the end of the previous league match. Immediately sub 2 1st team starters for young lads 2 minutes into the game itself (a la Bradford and their keeper.) Sub 1 young lad in the *NEXT* league match. Sorted.

And that's even before you take the Orient FA Cup game into account - one could argue we'd play a strong side for that, and why should that be any different to a League game?

I think it will be a strong team on Sunday given the U23S have a cup match at The Lane against Reading on the Saturday.

The 23s generally need to dip into the first team squad for fringe players so i am not sure Whiteman, Brookes, Reed, Semple, Cummings etc will be on show against Orient. Given the 18s are playing The Pigs on Saturday also, which could include Cummings and Semple i think the Orient game will be a strong side.

The U23 game has been postponed mate.

Its now being played Sat Dec 17th at 14:00.

Glad about that, saves a mad dash from Shirecliffe on Sat, U18s v Wed at 11:30, & the Dec date is now free cos the first team game at Coventry has been moved to the previous Thu.

Have we been given permission to play Lafferty & Ebanks-Landell? Anyhow I've chosen my team on the basis we haven't. If they can play then I'd play EEL and push Basham into midfielder instead of Coutts who'd take Reed's place on the bench & still probably just rest Lafferty or pop him on the bench also.

I hope the changes are kept minimal on Sunday and we just look to keep the momentum going. Rest the majority in the paint pot trophy midweek.​

Yes. It's now November. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect him to have caught up by now, which is why it's concerning – particularly with Clarke and Done injured.

Yes. It's now November. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect him to have caught up by now, which is why it's concerning – particularly with Clarke and Done injured.

He didn't sign until late into the window and he had been unable to play before then so he's had a long time out.
