I'm predicting we stay up- probably in low place - maybe 4-6th above bottom. One man doesnt make a team and obviously we want Illy to stay but we have to get these others playing out their skins. Mc B has to come good , Brewster has to get fit and play or we just abandon him- ( can we claim on Insurance for him??) get rid of deadweights,-( Norwood, Fleck ?) Tell Berge to get his finger out and play with the big boys or piss off. Baldock and JLT good to stay, Wes Ok- wot about defence and midfield- bit of an unknown area to me at moment but this is the engine room for the team and must be right in this league.

think if illiman stays weve an outside chance of survival but if we could add doyle obrien lcb striker and a keeper to challenge wes weve more than a fair chance of staying up

On the basis of who has arrived and the signings previously made by this management team I think we can make a prediction which would be not far from any predictions made in mid August
How do you work that out? Ndiaye hasn't tied down his future yet.....

The signing of another striker might be the difference between 10 PL league places ...

Likewise another CB might be pivotal....

How can you make a prediction on anything that isn't set in stone yet...???

As I said before, stupid predicting at this point.

The odds of finishing top six are very slim now for most teams in this Div. with all the allowed subs these days it depends more on how strong a squad of top players you have than how good a first team you have.
But lets no forget although the advantage is with the big guns it's still a team game..
So I would not expect us to finish top 6, but I don't expect us to be the Divisions whipping boys either....;)

i think it was will be similar to 06/07. but on survival side this time. if we can get a striker with 10 goals it will be huge help & ndiaye staying is massive

Given we know absolutely nothing about the 3 incomers ability at EPL level and have no idea who the remaining 3 signings are likely to be I would place as much faith in a crystal ball than anything else. Why? Because you absolutely haven't got the vaguest idea what the squad will look like so giving serious predictions is obviously utter tosh.

I think United and Luton will finish 7-10 points behind 3rd bottom as the bottom 2. Neither team is likely to score enough goals. No idea who the 3rd relegation team will be

Really don’t know, I have gone for 4/5th bottom, but it depends on whether we can get some more players in. Currently midfield is a major issue, and we are at least one forward light. Defence not to worried about, but could do with a keeper to challenge Wes

I don't think we've got a bad team at all, I just think we're out of our depth mixing it with the multimillionaires in this division. I can't think of 3 teams that we're worse than or that I'd rather have our squad over.

It will be interesting to see how we fair, but I'd say 2nd or 3rd bottom if I was a betting man.
I can think of at least 3 teams we are worse than , man city, Liverpool, arsenal, if I was pushed I could probably find another 14 , I may be pushed to find 3 teams worse than us or that we are better than though 😊

Predictions are what an individual thinks may happen given the information available. Waiting for more information simply gives the individual a better chance of being close to accurate.
Predictions themselves are of no use unless you are betting, so remain “ stupid “ at all times.

Can't see anything less than finishing bottom unfortunately ! Only hope it's with more points than the 11 Derby County went down with .

15/16th for me, I think our home support and home form will just be enough

Luton, wolves and palace down

Whoops 🤣

Weeeeerrrrzzzzzzz record lowest number of points, administration champions options?

It's so early to try judge or predict, it would be best to wait for the window to shut.

It's also too easy to say the promoted clubs, all 3 go back down. I think Luton are the most likely candidate. But their home form & ground will be like how the Lane was for us in the Wilder season, or how it benefitted Forest.

Given both teams woes with FFP, Everton and Wolves may have stinker seasons. Both also stunk in front of goal last year. Even with the respective managers.

I think "second season-syndrome" comes into play with Forest & Bournemouth.

So battling this group, 16th maybe?

It's stupid predicting at any point. It's just being done for fun.

Down on the last day due to Everton winning.

It’s written in the stars. My names Bruno Mars.

This is fair. For me we’re already getting a flavour of the kind of signings to be expected, so I’m positive. If Ndiaye stays I will be even more so.
Ekke I tend to agree, but these new guys need to hit the ground running. Even if they do will any of them start v Palace? I'm not sure, so if Doyle doesn't come back it's almost certain we will start the first match with a weaker first 11 than we had in the championship...even if Ndiaye stays

Having said that I'm optimistic we have enough to finish above 3 other teams

I’ve gone bottom 3.

I reckon we will have a blistering start and be about 6th after 15 games.
THEN an Alien attack halts football. After the Aliens decide Earth is not for them the league starts but without fans while Alien piss dust evaporates.
We end up losing loads and finish bottom 3.

I’ve gone for staying up - comfortably. I genuinely think we all will be pleasantly surprised. Yes, we need a few more bodies in midfield, and maybe a keeper, but I’m going to put my head on the block and say we finish 11th. “Optimism is essential to achievement and a foundation to true progress”.

Seems to me the majority claiming nailed on bottom 3 should be supporting a different team. Reminds me of the doom and gloom merchants voting for remain tied to EU. No confidence or gonads in the management or players.
We should be no worse than Luton, Burnley or Everton. Add in Wolves in the sh** and maybe Palace and Forest struggling and Blades have every chance of achieving lower mid table.
Signings so far appeal to me, add in more loans or Doyle and i will be expecting Blades to give all the clubs a fight not roll over like the punters on this thread.
