I have a vague memory of there being an incident between him and popular Blades legend Adrian Heath, that might have meant both players were sent off. Pretty sure someone was at any rate.

18 Feb 1967: 1:1 at the Lane v Fulham

Match that stands out for me was QF at Elland Road lost 0:1, big crowd and I went with my cousin and his mates all Leeds fans, I also went to both league games that season.

We were very unlucky in the Cup match.

God I used to really hate Leeds, everyone I knew supported them

Stoke 3rd round 1983. They were first division. Obviously, we weren't. Held them to a draw at home I think and lost the replay. We were OK at home but dire away that season. The following season we played Everton and again got a replay which I understand we were quite unlucky to lose. The pig apparently put in a good performance and we were able to offload him to them. Which was nice.

Not my first FA Cup game (cant really remember) but my first away game was in 3rd Round away at Watford
think it was 1967 think we won 1-0 Mick Hill possibly

1968. TC got pulled out from Watford's team, few days later we signed him

Everton home 2-1, think they were League Champions at time, also remember Blackpool home and Cardiff. Lost to Cardiff 3rnd at home 1-3 after thumping them 5-1 a few months before to gain promotion

I genuinely couldnt remember so did some research although I remember listening to the Coventry away quarter final in 98 in the car. from meadowhall. i think because of age & away draws I didn't attend my 1st fa cup game until 4 years later v forest at home in 2002 when i was 11. from research i think it looked a bit of boring 1-0 which is probally why I couldn't remember it. 1st game i can remember was the 2003 home game ironically the last time we played ipswich in the fa cup when we won 4-3

although in my research, I found something very weird that I haven't notice before, that in 1999/2000 when we played Rushden & diamonds in the 3rd round & beat them on penalties but didnt know it took place in mid December instead of the traditional 1st Saturday in january. anyone know why 3rd round date was changed & further more they played the 4th round on 3rd round date, 5th round on 4th round date etc & the Quarter Finals in febuary instead of march

If it makes you feel less alone, that was my first Cup match as well. Following round, Michael Miles on Take Your Pick a couple of days before United played at Bolton said to a contestant from Bolton that he hoped Bolton would win. Caused national outrage - impartiality of broadcasting and all that, and United won that one. Next round was Sunderland at home, which I wasn't allowed to go to because of the size of the crowd. My big brother did go - SO UNFAIR!

Lost 3-1 at home to Cardiff in 1972. Their first goal was scramble at Kop End after a Bobby Woodruff long throw. MacKenzie equalised for us. Cardiff scored two late goals

Blackpool was 4th round in 1968, Everton in 1970 and Cardiff in 1972

Mine was a 2-2 draw at home to Altrincham in 1981. Can't remember much about the game other than my Dad telling me they'd beat us in the replay. And they did, 3-0.
