Spring 1953, neighbours got a 9" TV to watch the Coronation. That was boring, but it meant we could watch the Matthews Cup Final, and I then went to watch Utd v Blackpool in September. We lost 4-3, but the experience was wonderful. Over the next few weeks I remember seeing Hagan deal with a Huddersfield player who would not move back 10 yards at a free-kick by laying him out with an accurate leather football straight at his nether regions, and around the same time v Spurs dealing with a Ramsey attempted foul by using his quickness of feet to stamp on him. Ramsey was carried off, and Hagan got the foul. Think Morgan v Liverpool. Hagan was instantly my first hero - great skill, but no angel if riled.

Remember meeting (on different occasions) Jostein Flo, Alan Kelly, Charlie Hartfield and Brian Gayle when I was a kid. Kelly was a real favourite of mine being a GK as a kid.

Uncle Brian takes me off to the Lane when I was about 7 or 8. Hadn't a clue what was going on. We put 7 past Ipswich and I fell in love with the Blades. Never forgiven Uncle Brian.

My introduction was perching on the white fence at the front of the John Street Terrace.
Same here.
Used to go with my best mate - his dad was a copper and always volunteered for United matches. So we were always there early, which at least guaranteed us a spot next to the tunnel for bagging autographs. If I was told to get down from the railings once I was told a thousand times!

First post and thanks to everyone here for giving me endless hours of entertainment reading about my beloved Blades.
Earliest memories were being introduced to the thrill of live games in the mid 1960's. In no particular order
Len Badger booting the ball deep into the gloom of the cricket pitch to waste time during night games.
Midweek match vs Wetsham. Mick Jones had been kicked up the air by Bobby Moore for most of the game. About 20 mins into the second half, the ball was in our penalty area and Jones jogged over the halfway line and booted Moore in the knee, Ref and linesmen didn't see a thing but the crowd went crazy!
Walking home with my dad, picking up a Green 'Un from Eccy road and being treated to a cough candy twist or those Liquorice sticks that were so hard it took ages to eat and left you slavering like a bulldog.
Prized possession was my V neck shirt - worn every day during the holidays, apparently I refused to take it off so mum had to remove and wash it whilst I was asleep and dry it on the Rayburn overnight.

I started going when my dad took me on the kop when I was about 10 I think. Very hazy memories, can remember the wire fences still being there and shouting "deano" as loud as I could.

Started going regularly around 96/97. Me and a few if my school mates all had season tickets at the back of the kop cause we thought we were dead hard. Pre match pints in the Devonshire arms (long since demolished) favourite players for me were Deane, fjortoft, Kelly's and obviously vas borbokis

In fact, this season reminds of when spackman played 352 with vas and quinny as wingbacks, that was an awesome team

I remember first going to the lane with my Dad and standing at the lane end then they shut that area because they were building the Bramall lane stand so we moved to stand under the cricket pavilion ,as a small child interest waned rapidly when you needed a periscope and binoculars to see anything.
We moved to the open standing by the kop dad wouldn't let us go under the roof "you cant go in there they throw bottles "
I do remember being taking to the Sty in 1966 leppings lane stand we drew 2-2.
