Have you lot no compassion? What about the fans? What about that bloke who was so confident that he had a tattoo on his shoulder to commemorate their promotion to the Prem? What about him then?

If it wasn't for the fact that for many years I used to visit Leeds on business, my company had an office there and I had to listen to them going on and on about how great they were and how inferior we were to them I'd be quite upset with you lot.

As it is I'm having a couple of whiskies to celebrate and pissing myself laughing. Do carry on. :D

Fuck Leeds
Well done mate. You have to develop a dislike of Leeds to be a blade.

I am torn though. I don’t want derby or villa to go up. That said I couldn’t possibly have encouraged Leeds in tonight’s game and am toasting their loss with a whisky night cap.

Thread title says it all.

Don't think it's happened since I started going regularly in 1970. Probably early sixties? Can someone confirm. For clarity I count Middlesbrough as Yorkshire.

We were last the top Yorkshire team in 1975. If you don't count Middlesbrough as being in Yorkshire, we were also top in 2007.

The team from last of the summer wine are down so yeah I think you're right

For some reason I thought Boro finished above us in 74/75. Glad that next season will be second time I've seen the Blades officially Yorkshires Number 1
