Quote from the article: “United’s problems begin and end in the boardroom. Phipps, Kevin McCabe, the lesser-spotted Prince Abdullah bin Mosaad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – the Blades have more directors than Universal Studios but seemingly no semblance of a strategy.

There are essentially three ways to win promotion from the Championship. One is to chuck a load of cash at it, like QPR. Another is to concoct a philosophy, then sign players and managers who fit the mould. Think Swansea or Watford. The last – best illustrated by Bournemouth – is to keep faith with a manager, thus creating stability and spirit. United haven’t done any of that.”

Looks like we’ve done the second way and we are having a bash at the third.
When will we try the first way in relation to the Championship?.

I prefer our way.

Not sure I'd list Bournemouth as stability and spirit. Think more chucking a load of money at it and cheating FFP rules. Besides, they were only in the Cahmpionship for 2 years and Howe had only been there 3 years when they got promoted to the Premier League (let's not forget he ditched them for Burnley at one stage).
