Anyone know how well Wycombe tickets are selling? I want 3 tickets so I'll have to wait until general sale on Friday 16th.

Should I just get 3 direct from WWFC?

Dunno mate. But I would imagine that you would be ok getting tickets. I don't think they will sell out. I am planning on waiting until general sale for mine. If you are nervous then maybe PM Foxy/Linz as they have spare memberships I believe.

Doubt they will sell out before general sale. We've only just shifted all the Scunny tickets, and that's barely an hour up the road.

I wouldn't like to think of Foxy or Linzy wasting spare memberships on part-timers like old Grouchy :-)

I'll be waiting til General sale as well. I wouldn't worry about it.

Waiting for general sale as well. There could be a fair few of us in the home end if we sell out.

Got mine of Tuesday and about 350 had been sold. Not sure how much that helps.

I'd imagine they'll all sell, but if you get in straight away at general sle you'd be OK.

Why not wait and get your home tickets then if needed. It's doubtful they'll sell out, isn't it?

The away end fits 2000 in, although the fuzz may restrict those numbers.

I'm not worried at all about getting a ticket

when you say "only just" do you mean timewise or that we sruggled to shift em,the fact it was announced last week we'd shifted them all and were trying for more would seem to suggest otherwise

I meant that tickets for Scunthorpe managed to reach general sale, despite it being just up the road, so Wycombe is hardly going to sell out before general sale.

I think it says a bit about our daft and complicated loyalty point system. It's difficult for groups to book together so they're often forced to wait until general sale. Thet's the case whatever the distnce, but your point still holds.

I shall be applying for 3 tickets in the general sale.
If any has any tickets available I would be happy to send a cheque in advance

Indeed alco owd spadge. I have shelled out for a membership, I am a member of the supporters club and have been to 3 games this season .... yet I don't have enough loyalty points other than to wait until the day before the general sale. However my mate who I am going with does not have enough points, so we will wait for the general sale. I could of course get a season ticket holder to but them for me, but then I do not get any loyalty points (or discount on tickets I think?) and then am faced with exactly the same situation the next time ......

I really don't see why we're hanging on to the loyalty points system at all. Do we ever sell out of the away allocation apart from Derby games?

The period it goes on for is far too long as well, by the time the tickets are on general sale, the train prices are rocketing. Surely 3 days after season tickets go on sale is more than enough time for loyalty points holders to get their tickets?

I agree Highbury. For the Preston game they have done away with the points system (due to us having a big allocation) but I do not see why we could not do it for all games. How about give season ticket holders 3 or 4 days, then give (all) members 3 days and then put them on general sale. I am sure people would see that as a fair system.

I agree Olle. The loyalty points is best applied for the likes of Wednesday and Chesterfield away, where the demand for tickets will be at their highest.

I'm a part timer and not afraid to admit it. But it's been a long time (over 15 years, possibly longer) since I went to more home games than away and this season will be no different.

I've only not got a ticket for a game I wanted to attend once in that time - that was Brighton away when they were playing on the hopscotch area at the local primary school or summat like that - but I did think that we would sell a lot of tickets for Wycombe because, unless I'm very much mistaken, The Wizards have never played there before.

We haven't. Our only previous game v Wycombe was the 4-1 win over then at the Lane in the League Cup on 1/10/02.

I think that that game against Wycombe was 18 days before the Brighton game that I couldn't get a ticket for.

It was indeed. Are you after my job :-)

We won the Brighton game 4-2 after being 2-0 down. Brown got the first and Asaba then got a hat trick (including 2 pens). In a transparent bid to curry favour with the locals the then Hove (Labour) MP put out a statement saying how shocked he was at the ref's performance and was going to raise it in parliament etc etc.

I should know better at my age, but I am always surprised at just how twattish MPs can be sometimes.

for those wanting a taster of how Wycombes ground looks , nip down Tinsley and look at the all weather pitch at Aurora sports ground, its like that , but not as good

Does Gareth the twat Ainsworth still turn out for them??? What a fucking wanker the arrogant self centred cunt of a shithouse he is!! Knobhead!!!

Yes he does Sampy, I saw him play at Don Valley last season and booed him everytime he came over to take a throw in. I would have been a bit more vociferous if I hadn't been there with young kids.

This should spice things up a little bit. We should have a decent following (many United fans will not have been and will make the effort - plus we're doing well) and the away support has been good so far. That twat Ainsworth will get our blood boiling. Looking forward to it :)

Am planning on making the short trip for this one too. Wasn't at all worried about getting a ticket until I saw this thread!

I'm amazed they didn't learn the lesson when we sold less than half the tickets for our play off semi against Preston. That was truly cringeworthy.

I can't rope anyone into coming with me to this, so I'll be heading up from London alone. Will probably buy my later today or maybe tomorrow, seeing as I won't need to wait for general sale.

Is that Facebook group still accurate, in terms of pubs? Will try and latch onto a few other London blades so I'm not a total Billy No Mates!

Plenty of tickets left for this one. We've only sold 900*.

* Perfect example of how ridiculous using the points system is for games such as this one. I think I will write to the club/ticket office about this. The loyalty points system for Chesterfield, Wednesday and maybe Huddersfield/Scunthopre might be a good idea. Also any grounds that only offer us a tiny allocation. However everywhere else why not just offer a period for members and then put them on general sale? If people feel the same then I would encourage them to write to club or even just drop an e-mail to ticket office [email protected].
