So last week (05/07/24) we were told information would be released this week about the so called takeover. It is Friday afternoon and nothing.

What a surprise.

What a shambles of a Board that it cares so much about its customers that it says nothing.

It wouldn't surprise me if we went into administration with this shower of **** running the show. You don't know what is the truth and what is fiction.

I hear your concern, and it echoes lots of others and is based on past experience. It could only be the Blades. Double relegation anyone?

Who told you it was today is wrong, that much I'm certain.
 
I do not understand the panic that seems to grip people when we aren't being told every detail.

This is a multi million pound company being sold, it takes weeks and weeks of due diligence, reviewing contracts, historical transactions, leases, sales, anything that highlights a risk to the buyer. The potential buyer appears to want anonymity until it happens (not unusual) and so there is no news to report. This isn't the Prince, this isn't our club being a shambles, this is just how takeovers work in the most part. Unfortunately as a fan base, we are of little consequence when it comes to who owns our club.

Its Friday, go and have a beer, look forward to York away tomorrow and England in Sunday.

Fine and when does the season start exactly? This is NOT how to run an EFL club. If your going to buy do it immediately AFTER a transfer window.

Sheff United the laughing stock of football again ! C'mon to fuck up once might be unfortunate this is probably incidence two or three or more.

Was certainly reported last week that this week there would be some news. Now why dont they say it is unlikely that discussions will be completed until the end of August. Then we know we have a relegation fight on our hands and require loan/free players. It is the total shambolic way it is being done.. Its bloody SUFC not sodding Torquay FFS.

I don’t think the club has commented on any sale, especially as they are not party to it. It is not those running the club that you should be looking to criticise.

They've told us about kit and nowt else was that the big announcement?
 
I think we are all getting frustrated about more about the lack of information coming through. Ie. Nothing.

Having said that, how many of you have bought and sold a house?
I have, quite a few times. It's NEVER straightforward. And this is just house buying.
We are talking big business here. Figures and corporate stuff we've no idea about. It's frustrating to say the least. All we can do is expect the worst (it's the blades way) but hope for the best.
 
Go & watch the Benjamin Bloom YouTube review…..it’s excellent (as all his reviews are). Impartial, but says everything I hear daily from fans of other clubs living outside Sheffield. Outsiders can’t understand why we have literally hardly any money to spend.

I agree to a limited extent with the worry about the seasons start approaching fast But very few clubs will be starting the season with the same team that will be playing for them by October as loans from Premier League are rarely sorted to the last minute.

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned but a few in the club like Paul Reeves have done one . It’s looks like rats leaving a sinking ship . I’m a glass half full chap but fuck me this is testing me . Ultimately part of me thinks it a clear out which we all wanted but my money is on no fucker wants us . Discuss !

I think its been discussed to death. The takeover thread features everything from what is your favourite curry to where did you go on your holidays. I think that tells you enough not needing to discuss it more.

Laughing stock of football?? I bet no non-Blades outside of Sheffield and its surrounding areas gives us a second thought if I’m honest.

Lack of coms is insulting to fans. I've cancelled my Chessy ticket, that'll fukin show 'em!
No, that's a joke, I'm really pissed off with the club, sure you're gonna hit a few bumps in the road with involved negotiations, but, c'mon, the fans deserve to be fed a few crumbs of legitimate news ffs.
