Whilst it’s an odd comment from Nigel, it’s not a million miles from Brayford’s “Blades Train”.
There’s a pattern emerging, manager wins a few games and is praised for his comments in interviews. Manager loses a few games and is slated for his comments in interviews. When we were winning, Clough was praised for the royal “we” sharing the credit amongst his team. When losing, everything he said made him a twat in the eyes of many.
It’s the same with Adkins. When we’re winning he’s a breath of fresh air, when we’re losing he’s na embarrassment. I think it has a lot more to do with what’s going on on the pitch than the words being spoken.
I have every faith in NA and despite poor results lately, I like his enthusiasm and am willing to put time and faith in him. We won’t replace him with anyone who has a better track record. Let his philosophy take effect gradually. There will be ups and downs along the way (you know, like a rollercoaster) but if we persevere, we could be onto a real winner with him.
