He was an excellent naturally gifted player who lost his way in the game. Sometimes players like that can be good coaches as they’re aware of the pitfalls that can affect young players, they know where they went wrong and can explain this to the kids and try to stop them going down the same route, and they know all the “excuses” when players don’t train hard.

But I can’t get that image out of my mind “get in the showers Danny, I can’t look at you”.

Lester has been no mug since being appointed so I’m fairly confident Danny must be good at his job for lester to bring him in. Plus his work with the England under 18’s underlines that and those connections can only be good for us in terms of picking up undervalued youngsters when they’re released and good loans. Think he also runs his own junior academy so there will be players there as well. Sounds like a busy bloke.

In fact i just had a scroll down their player list and holy Jesus and the mother mary, theyre an absolute fucking state... and i’m trying to be as fair as i can be to them

no 1st teamers under 25 years old, all their experienced players are bottle job, shit attitude, achieved-nothing players. I’m not sure i’d take a second look at any except for possibly Reach and Iorfa, but only out of desperation for our lack of backup CB and Winger options. However They’d be well down the list of the standard we’re after at our level

The only howls I was aware of were Ron Springnet, bronco Lane and Tony Kay , I haven't kept up with their playing staff over the years not because I hate them but just because I have absolutely no interest in them. There’s a couple of under 16’s worth a look cadamateri jnr being the pick of the bunch probably. There’s no one in any of the older age groups.
