Sweet Jesus. We will get relegated officially tomorrow. We aere likely to finish bottom of the league having scored the fewest goals and had the pleasure of being turned over on our own patch a dozen times. We have a manager currently with two wins in half a season and can't cope when the phone rings.. We have a (ex, just for you Rattly) chairman who dropped us quicker than hot snot in the shit and his replacemnet has said absolutely noting of interest since he was parachuted in. We will start next season with about three players we all like. Crowds will have halved in two years whilst debts (by whom, to whom no one has a clue about) have gone through the roof. Playing budgets will be more than halved, but it is not clear if that policy will apply to the chief exec.

All of which seemingly pales into insignificance compared to the debate about Richard Fucking Batho.

Everyone responsible for dragging us here- allmentioned in dispatches above - must be pissing themselves.

Can we leave the bloke alone and give his position it's rightful position in the pecking order?

Deep breathing helps!

;)

Not half, because that's what Batho is there for. To deflect flak. Same with Chris Steer.

Who exactly is this Chris Steer? I've heard his name and am aware he is apparently our Chairman now but I've not seen or heard anything he's done since taking on the role. Where did he come from, what is his background and has he actually made any decisions of note since "taking over" (I use the latter phrase lightly)? Genuine question by the way. When Dooley was about as FC chairman, and even Terry Robinson, you'd see, hear and read about things they were up to to do with the club.

Does Chris Steer exist?

He definitely exists all right. In fact you can't miss him.

Patsy ...Patsy ...do yer luve me .....Patsy....Patsy ....do yer care ..........

Nothing criptically hidden and so many sentences and words. Have you had a private tutor?

You know what I would like? What I would really really like? To read at least one thread at the top of this board that touches on an interesting subject. As much as I find some opinions on Batho hilarious, I can't get my head around why this is a hot topic. It shows you how ridiculous it is when Mr one-liner manages a full paragraph. Are things so bad at this club that we have to clutch at straws as small as this?!

Easily solved. Write something yourself.

Yes he does. According to google he is world renowed expert in infertility treatment.

No, Batho's postition is a complete waste of resources and no matter how you try to flower it up, the money spent on him could be spent on a replacement for Nick Montgomery, another waste of space.

Anyway, Good Friday, off work, supping cider, home made king prawn vindaloo ready in about 10 miutes so who gives a shit about Richard Batho, just another insignificant nodding dog if you ask me.

I'm sure it wouldn't be beyond a sage of your standing Raul to recognise that Mr Batho is in a position to be posing some of those questions/issues on behalf of supporters and in the absence of any communication from the club it is perhaps not surprising there is a degree of scrutiny about what said chap is doing in the circumstances.

If you have a question to ask him or the club,

DO IT IN PERSON! You get the full answer then, not the shortened text version!

If you do it constructively and add facts, figures and times. You'll get a much more reliable answer.

There are far too many people asking strange half questions when they don't back them up.

A question to someone who is in a position to answer that question needs to know that you have the knowledge and have done your homework to answer it indepth.

A question like: Where's all the money gone? demands a one or so word answer like: On the Wage Bill! for example.

There's far too many keyboard warriors shooting off at the slightest bit of negativity the club does! But everything is not about being positive, there's also tough decisions to be made.

Most are good deals in the best interest of both parties (ie. the Kyles transfer)

Come on, you cant expect people to, you know, do something for themselves.

Thanks for that Kopped.
I think we can all see where you're coming from now and why you'd be falling over yourself to support the non-communicative club employee.
I particularly liked your last line. The sales definitely worked out so well for both parties.
Are you on commission as well?

That would be the non communicative club employee who responded to me in two minutes yesterday?

Just for clarity Kopped. Are you saying that the sale of the two Kyles was in the best interest of sheffield united?

The initial deal was: £8M for 2x 18-20yo Right Backs, from Championship Level, rising to £10M. How many "decent" right backs do you know worth more than £4M for starters (and Glen Johnson has never been worth £18M before you start).

The deal was and still is a fair 1

The problem wasn't selling Naughton and Walker, it was not replacing them! Blackwell blew all his budget on Evans. Oh no hold on, France...

I think you have summed up in a nutshell the kind of thinking that has wrecked this club.

We sold of two of the finest prospects I have ever seen at Bramall Lane and how that can be justified in terms of monetary returns, particularly now the club is freefalling into the third division, truly defies belief.
