The more times I watch that first goal from yesterday the more and more horrendous it looks!

All goals are bad but are there any which stand out for any of you as being particularly bad?!?!

When we kicked off the 2nd half in the home game against Derby in October 1995 (we were losing 1-0) the ball was played to Roger Nilsen who then attempted to pass the ball to Alan Kelly but Gabbiandini nipped in to score Derby's 2nd.

1 penalty against Walsall
2 Chelsea in prem - Mark, can't remember his last name.

Rest fade into insignificance.

In terms of self-inflicted catastrophe.

Home to Everton in the Prem. Kenny giving two points away in a slow motion car crash.

George Long's goal-line twinkle toes at home to Hartlepool (I think) in Wilson's second season.

Can't remember which of them were bad but I remember a couple in the 4-4 home result against Exeter a couple of years back being awful. To the point where you just felt sorry for George Long.

I'm suprised no1 has mentioned Waddle at Wembley. Alan Kelly should have done better!

Not even one that United conceded but watching Everton's third against Wimbledon in 1994 still pisses me off. (it's on youtube)
How it was never proved to be match-fixing is beyond me, his dive is pathetic - he basically just sits down on the goalline. It's not even in the corner.

Can't remember the game other than Alan Kelly trying to dribble around a striker, oh dear

And what really pist me off was David Baddiel on MOTD commenting that despite the consequences for The Blades, it was nice for Stein to get a goal after returning from injury. I always thought he was a twat on the coat tails of Skinner.

United 2 wba 4 , earlyish in 1998, Steve Thompson at the helm, Chris Wilder in midfield, Kelly trying to skirt round that twerp lee Hughes. Jan 2002, Portsmouth got a goal nr halftime where Tracey tried to head it clear it was embarrassing.

In the home game against WBA in April 1998. Chris Wilder passed the ball back to him forgetting that Kelly was limping from an injury and he had told his defenders not to pass the ball to him

I should have posted the whole thread before posting. Sorry!

Walsall away in 1980-81 would take some beating, Blades scored (Bob Hatton???) in injury time to go 4-3 up only for them to equalise straight away without a United player getting a touch!

played reading at elm park in a night match lost heavely in the end i think 4-0 jeff King ex pig scored an own goal when he slashed at the ball from outside the box and scored with a great shot unfortunately in our net, the most remarkeble own goal i have ever seen and ive seen a few.

Madine's equaliser at Bramall Lane. I didn't see it. I had my head in my hands at the time.

Later, in the dressing room, Simonsen put his head in his hands... and as usual, he missed.

So many to choose from over the years.

Eddie Colquhoun's majestic own goal against Wolves deserves a mention.

Two own goals at the Kop End in the 1st half by Eddie in the same match in Dec 1971. Goals by TC and Woody (pen) in the 2nd half made it 2-2

The goal scorer for Walsall's injury time equaliser was......Don Penn!

The worst one i can remember is Alan Kelly getting wrong footed in either the 94/95 or 95/96 season against Portsmouth. The opposition had a tame shot, and for some reason Kelly seemed to go the opposite way and let a tame goal in.
