God. We've had some stinking centre halves.

Andy Butler? Never even got onto the pitch was that bad XD

Has to be McGahey, Harry Maguire's replacement. Has there ever been a bigger downgrade?

David Edgar probably would've been quite a bit better had he not had Collins and McEvely at his side. He wasn't particularly good by any means, but I think that was a factor.

Edgar was a decent player I thought. That's why I've not included him. Definitely our best centre half last year not that it was difficult.

Jay McEverly another one absolutely stealing a wage in professional football.
But you could have said that about all of the above .

McGahey was terrible. McCeveley runs him close in this competition but for sheer dross it has to be McGahey. He was that bad I wanted to bring my boots and get a call to come down from the stands to take his place.

Let's have it reight, lads. Collins was part of the back 4 that had that run of 9 (possibly 10?) clean sheets in Clough's first season. That was a club record, was it not? Shouldn't even be on't list.
He was shit

Paddy McCarthy's turn up when he felt like it and play crap when he did deserves a mention. Higginbotham was dire too. McGinty was hopeless.

I thought it would've been much closer between Collins and Bombscare to be honest.

Got to say that, although he wasn't the worst, Edgar's rightly on the list. Soft as shit - and representative of just how soft our underbelly had become during the Division Three years, up until this last season.

What a contrast with what we've got now.

but carried by maguire massively. as we found out when he left

if i couldve voted for both collins & mceveley i wouldve easily the worst centre back partnership ive ever seen, i knew something had gone pearshaped under adkins as i said post swindon mceveley should never play for us again & that arse made him captain.. but collins just shaded it because it was becoming laughable at times as opposition couldnt believe their luck. as collins was their best offensive player

I will never forget Edgar being subbed at half time, Port Vale, being bullied, we brought Terry Kennedy on, who sorted the problem in a couple of minutes

Didn't think Edgar was too bad at all to be honest. Would have probably done well in the current team.
