Priestfield shocking for facilities but actually not a bad view. I'd take a view over facilities anytime so for me it's places like The old Den down Cold Blow Lane and Wimbledon's Plough Lane that rank high as worst grounds for away fans. Talking of Wimbledon, just remembered last season at Kingstonian. Only way could see there was sitting on a wheelie bin when the stewards left us alone.Watching the Gillingham v Portsmouth game on Sky reminds me how miserable the Priestfield away end is. Held up by scaffolding, the stand moves when you walk on it, no roof, it always seems to be cold and we always play shit there. Surely the worst away end in the League?!
Boltons old ground when they put that fucking supermarket on the away terracing. Spent ninety minutes looking around a brick wall when the ball went on that side of the ground.
No worries, bet you had a cricked neck the same as me.I was putting my post together when you posted that HB.
Mansfield years ago around 88 or so, hiding from the driving sleet behind a chain link fence. It was so cold most people there were various shades of blue, teeth chattering and shivering like crazy. And like an idiot I was wearing my new leather jacket, took a week for it to dry out.

I remember that, stewards kept moving people who climbed on the wall!Priestfield shocking for facilities but actually not a bad view. True BTL , what a kip .Newport
Plymouth in the early 1980s was pretty poor. Seem to remember it being just an uncovered mud bank (perhaps my memory is exaggerating how bad it was). Wimbledon at Plough Lane in 1983-4 wasn't good either, but the fact that it rained all through the second half , I got absolutely drenched and we lost 3-1 didn't help.
Yeah burnden park was the worst! Half a stand behind the goalBoltons old ground when they put that fucking supermarket on the away terracing. Spent ninety minutes looking around a brick wall when the ball went on that side of the ground.
81...2-0 win,Edwards and Neville the scorers...The crumbling terraces at Bradford, about 1980. Both set's of fans cobbing lumps of it at each other all the way through the game. Lot's of injuries.
Got to agree, by far the worst I'd been to,although the old cinder hill and the cowshed at Wigan in early season 81 was bad too.Newport
Gillingham for the facilities I guess.
Bristol Rovers is another one that sticks out as being awful.
Ha! I was at that one. Freezing fecking horizontal rain as well.
For me, Aldershot. A bloody tree growing in the middle of the terrace. Beat that
