The signing of Oliver Norwood has suddenly caused me to have flash backs to James Harper.

Please someone tell me I am wrong, but there seems to be parallels there between the two signings!

Why? Because they both played for Reading? I don't get your concerns.

Both centre middies and despite their reputations, not deemed good enough for the club's they play for. It just worries me a little, why are Brighton happy to let Norwood go, surely he's good enough for their bench.

The fact he played a big part in Fulham getting up gives me confidence. That was one hell of a side and he must be a damn good to be a regular in it.

Because Fulham and Brighton are Premier League clubs and they are too busy spending the odd hundred million here and there on what they consider to be better

Brighton have aspirations of being a mid table Premier League team, we’re a midtable Championship team. If he’d come from eg Wigan fair enough but this is one to be excited about.

Keeping unhappy players is bad for business. They tell the people they know all the bad things that happen at your club

Norwood seems to be a popular bloke. £2m is a decent fee. They could just be doing right by him.

Either way, it helps Brightons reputation with other players and pays somebodies wages for the year

My only memory of James Harper was that 90th minute equaliser he scored against Donny away.

I was sitting in the home end incognito until that point.... Blades fans went nuts (well as nuts as you can scoring away at Donny)

except there isn't a parallel for Norwood stood in the centre circle with the ball constantly flying over his head ;)
