The thing that stood out most for me in those clips was the quality of his passes .

Even when under pressure , not only were they delivered with pinpoint accuracy but also perfectly weighted such that the receiving player didn't even have to break stride .

To do that so consistently is very difficult to achieve and ,in that respect alone , it puts JF right up there with some of the best we've ever had .

Flecks acceleration with the ball from a stand still is his stand out quality in my opinion.

Its the main reason why he makes beating players look so easy. Just waits for the right moment and glides past them.

Was actually talking to one of their fans at work yesterday and brought up fleck.

He said he always had the quality and that much was obvious.

He also said that he'd watched us a few times this season and commented on how hard working fleck is now. He said that he appears to have the work rate to match his talent now and has improved massively since they had him.

Has not only made the step up to Premier League level, but I'd say he's been one of the best midfielders in the League this season. Can do everything, pass, dribble and run with ball and strong in the tackle. Great anticipation and reading of the game too, countless times he's cut passes out or hustled players off the ball. Heart of a lion for his size. Irreplaceable for anything less than £30m.

Yeah he’s up there with our all time greats.

Not just for his obvious talents, but for the fact he joined us on a free transfer and has been an ever-present, key man in our journey under Wilder. He just seems to get better and better, even now towards the top end of the Premier League.

Given the riches that are commonplace in the Prem these days, the figure quoted of £30 million seems a little under-valued.

Considering that Palace's Zaha was reported to be worth upwards of £70-80 million, I think we'd sell ourselves short if we considered anything less than £50-60 million minimum. I mean, who would we get to replace Fleck and for how much?

Currie by a mile.

A bit before my time mate and obviously seen loads of clips and know how highly he was rated by all clubs not just ours. I did say all round midfielder though.

I know Currie was a wonderful player who could put the ball on a sixpence but did he have the tenacity and ball winning skills of Fleck and ability to tear past players from a standing start like Fleck does.

For me Fleck has everything in his game including now adding goals.

Not saying I disagree with you by the way but interested in your opinion on Currie in the above areas
