Slightly better performance but by god... How bad is he?!
I started to think he was coming good before the Man United game but I was wrong.

When he's anonymous I class it as a good performance. That's the mark of a bad player.

Good win and that's important, we needed it today. I think it's too big an ask but we'll see.

I will take 9 out of the eleven playing bad if we win:)

Just shows how low we are and how long we have been this low if people are accepting that performance, everyone around us were constantly getting angry or just taking the piss every time he fucked up and it was going on a lot, because he kept fucking up, a lot.

It confirmed today he is not a wing back.

Unfortunately he seems to have confirmed in previous games he is not a winger either.

Probably will get a game in centre mid next week.

To be honest I can't agree with any other opinion than him being dreadful today
One good cross into the box and that's literally it. Loses the ball is bad positions, is easily skinned, not paticularly good with the ball, cumbersome, slow, clumsy. He is a nothing player.

It seems a bit weird to send Harris on loan, then switch to playing wing-backs. Fair enough McEveley is more solid at left back in a 4-4-2 than Harris, but if Adkins was planning to change the system, Harris is far more suited to left wing-back than Woolford.

For me the worst United player today , really really poor. Actually thought as a team we did ok and dominated a rubbish port vale team. Ryan Flynn also very poor . In fact can anyone say that those 2 actually contributed a single thing !

Basham my man of match

Usual below par, if that makes sense. He has a thing about pulling out of headers or misjudging the flight of the ball.

K Wal/ Harris >>>>>>>Woolford

He really just doesn't contribute anything. I don't like singling players out for slating, and you can clearly see he's more of a confidence player, but it is amazing how he played in the Championship for so long. No real outstanding qualities, not paticularly a workhorse or athletic. Even when he plays well it's all much of a muchness.

Very disappointing because like I said he was starting to come quite good but it seems like that was his run of form, and it's now well and truly over.

He made a lot of interceptions and was in the right place to collect a lot 2nd balls. However, it's got to the stage where he now has no faith in his own ability (if he has the ability). There was a couple of incidents that demonstrated it clearly.

1. A high ball is dropping to him with nobody around. He didn't fancy his chances of controlling it so he let it bounce and headed backwards to McEveley.

2. We win the ball back around half way and it breaks to him. Instead of trying to turn on the ball and go forwards he aimlessly hooks it on over his shoulder a la Stephen Quinn under Kevin Blackwell.

The guy's confidence is rock bottom and as poor as he has been, I hope he doesn't get ridiculed the way Sammon has been at times because it will just make him even worse.

What I will say, terrible as he is, and Saturday, he was by far the worst player in a home shirt, he is proving to be a lucky charm.
Started all the games in our 5 match winning run before Christmas, and again Sat.

You could argue he has an unseen positive effect on the team, but I think its coincidence!

The whole team looks poor bar a couple. So he must be incredibly shit to stand out as incredibly shit.

I don't think he did enough really for anyone to say he played rubbish, he was there but I can't think of one thing he did, he's sort of a phantom player...

Does some good work up top slowing up the build up of their attacks on his wing and attacks when possible. Not fashionable you see. Pity jcr doesnt do the same. Crosses better than jcr. Still its all about opinions. .......Not shit or scandalous...Nobody is that or perfect. Mceverley, Coutts,Hammond,Sammon,Woolford, Flynn. ..Team manager is getting out of hand. Scandalous. Been going for 30 years and believe me have seen some shit........Just saying.

He was steady on Saturday, but he's not worth his wage because he's no better than the players we already had before he came along. His record says he should be, but he's shown no sign of it whatsoever.

Another one lost to the Bermuda Triangle of talent which hovers around BDTBL. Move him on.
