Agree - all due respects to recent managers but Harris was the real class actJohn Nicholson never managed the Blades. He was the club secretary. George Waller, the trainer and the captains (Nudger Needham for 1898, 1899 and 1902 League and FA Cup wins, George Utley for 1915 FA Cup win and Billy Gillespie for 1925 FA Cup) had far more say in tactics and team selections (The football committee decide on player recruitment and contracts). We didnt have a manager until Teddy Davison in 1932. John Harris should have got the award as our best ever manager but the trouble with public voting is that many of the voters do not realise the achievements made by Nudger Needham, Billy Gillespie, Jimmy Hagan and John Harris. That is why I didnt take part in the voting
