As much as I hate Friday/Monday night KOs, this is the one weekend of the season I’d be happy for it to move to one, and it never does.

Blackburn had a day longer to prepare than we did as well.

If an extra day or no game midweek has a noticeable effect on the players at this stage of the season then we’re in big trouble. We have 5 days until the game , they all got home at a reasonable time last night and didn’t travel far.
I would actually say that its a benefit at this stage of the season to have had a game when they haven’t.
Sunday at 12.00 is a crap time to play football though

Joking aside. An extra day at this time of the season will certainly have an impact. Recovery time shouldn’t be underestimated when you have sat-tues games so early into the season when players are just coming up to fitness.

Quite a lot of games and short recoveries will have a compound effect on their recoveries, especially with reduced sleep.

It's great for me with the noon ko. Ican't make matches anymore with having dodgy knees so it's down to my club (Hartley House) , get chairs around the telly and watch with my life long mates in the snooker room. Downside is it's mostly a pig infested club, so a win is vital to avoid the snorting if we lose.

I remember it well, it’s one of my favourite recent ish games. We played some really lovely football that night and looked a constant threat.

Every player knew their role both individually and as team.

Was a real treat to see us play.

I'll never forget this game. Wolves kicked the game off and for about 2-3mins or so looked on another level. Then we won the ball back and wiped the floor with them for the rest of the game. I miss that team
