Wolves match thread

Hands up which idiots like us are actually going to Wolves...

I absolutely despise the place and we're shit... but regardless, we're still stupid enough to go :)
 
and it always rains and we always get attacked by Wolves fans...oh the seats are shit too and they all talk with annoying accents :)

Can't wait :D

On the plus side, its traditional we play shite down there so we're either gonna continue in our consistancy as expected or buck the trend :)
 
Given we seem to have trashed all formations, I would like to see us go with:
Kenny in goal;
Back four of Bardsley, Killgallon, Lucketti, Naysmith;
Five across the middle Stead, Monty, Speed, Armstong, Hendrie - Monty and Armstrong for defence, Stead and Hendrie to go wide and let's see if Speed can be the midfield general;
Hulse up front
Bench of Sharp, Carney, Bromby, Law, Ashmore - tell the 'kids' we will at least give them a chance.
 
I wont be going to Wolves, saved my cash for Bolton instead. You're right though it is an annoying place. I've been a few times and i hate that away end, was much better that year we had half of the stand behind the net.

Its an idea... I expect however within 10 mins if we aren't 3-0 up people to start chanting 4-4-2 and "you don't know what you're doing".... Bring Law and Ashmore on and if they miscontrol or miscue a pass they'll be berated.... thats between people singing the Billy Sharp song :)
 
i agree with you CFA about giving the youths a chance.
 
Ross is doing well at Rotherham apparently. Think his loan spell finishes soon as well.
 
Thought Ross joined them permanantly. I'm prob wrong though, and it was prob on football manager :D

Anyways..... might be going, depending on time I wake from my drunken haze.

Today's team.................

Kenny, Bromby, Naysmith, Bardsley, Stead, Hulse, Hendrie, Speed, Kilgallon, Tonge, Armstrong.

Subs: Bennett, Montgomery, Gillespie, Lucketti, Sharp.
 
Good to see Gillespie dropped, and it'll be interesting to hear what Hendrie does from the start and of course Speed.

EDIT: Oops missed one, be interesting to see how Bromby does at centre half as well, i think its his better position.

Speed did as expected really. Bromby looked more assured than he has done this season and didnt really put a foot wrong and for me Hendrie had his best game in a blades shirt.

Ross has been here for so long, he's one of the more senior "young lads" and should have been fighting for a first team place ages ago. Not good enough in my eyes.

Boring match really. Crap atmosphere. Not much attacking threat from either side.

But one more point towards safety :D
 

Had to know that, given their recent records, both teams were going to play not to lose and only take chances as they came. Despite the awful commentary on Radio Sheffield (Holdsworth just wants to prove how much better he is at every aspect of the game, though I don't recall him being one of our top scorers), seems we did raise a few hopes. A very positive start from Speed.
