Win next week...

Many teams go off like rockets only to finish as damp squibs. Some spend half the season looking like relegation certs only to fly high from Jan and end up promoted. This league probably offers more teams a chance of promotion or relegation than any other. The only league position that matters is that occupied at full time after 46 league games.
We have a long, hard and eventful road to travel fellow Blades. There are Orks, big bitey snarly things and some serious fuck off mountains on the way to Mordor. Hold hard, stand shoulder to shoulder and watch out for Gollum and that huge fucking spider as we march forth. This is no journey for the faint of heart. Advance with fortitude and

Oh FFS that`ll do.

So SBT, in our out?!

Wins breed confidence and that's a commodity our team has been sadly lacking for a long while. With the wins, the fans become confident too, as we can see on this forum and at games where the slagging off of players has been replaced by singing. Long may it comtinue.

Whilst I like the new found sense of optimism about the place, and naturally I'm riding this wave with a broad grin, it's not that original to suggest that we'll have a better idea about our form, consistency, and chances of promotion once we enter the new year. By then we'll all know if we're made of the stuff that's required to be considered worthy challengers.

....if Scunny beat Charlton in the week and beat us next week they would have a 9 point cushion over us after only 9 games.

That is despite our great run.

I'd take a point next week and then we have a run of 4/5 games where we are playing some sides we should pick up quite a few points (know the division is unpredictable)

I fancied Scunny for top 6 and see no reason why they cannot get in the playoffs at least. They do not have biggest of squads though. 2 or 3 injuries and they may struggle to keep consistency up.

Bury, Port Vale and Fleetwood all much higher than I thought. Felt these would be down the bottom by the end of the season but it is still early.

Charlton and MK Dons I felt would have done much better.

I thought Coventry would struggle and they have done.

Not a very nice way to speak of someones partner that pal really is it!!
And not appropriated eather!

A win for scunny tuesday would not be a bad thing. Hear me out on this, that would mean 4 wins out of 4 at home and like Bolton all good things come to an end, a win Tuesday and they may get a little cocky and carried away. A full weeks rest for us and we could give them a real surprise. Defeat for them tuesday and they will be working very hard in training to get back to winning ways. Don't start getting carried away about getting in the top 2 just yet, after 10 games Wigan were 9th, Although Burton were top 2 most of the season :D:p.
